It's so that social media can go full ****** and claim it's the best shot they ever saw when literally every set of tennis has harder shots being pulled off.

It being such a dumb shot selection is also the reason why you never see it which in turn is why social media in turn goes full ******.

cuevas seems to keep a pretty consistent of flashy shots coming, for a 'clay grinder.' talented guy, playing really well lately.

This is a normal trick shot... the fake overhead drop shot. The weird thing was he hit it between his legs. This is hit regularly on clay when the opponent is far far back. Cuevas is a clay court warlock.

reaffirms the thesis that there is nothing particularly special about Kyrgios troll shot ability, it's just that he goes for it stupidly often.

The workmanlike Cuevas just outdid him. Lovely shot, aided by the marvelously casual demeanor, with the cheeky no-look.
