Any rule with regards to being on multiple playoff teams?

I'm on two teams.

My first/normal team is the #2 seed for the local playoffs next month. We win that and we're off to FL sectionals.

The 2nd team i joined needed a singles player after they lost a couple players in the USTA rankings massacre. The league for this team has it split for winter/spring. The two winners play a match for the right to go to sectionals. Well, they won the winter and we mathmatically win the spring tonight if we don't lose 0-5.....so there is no need for a local playoff and we'd automatically go to sectionals.

Just curious if both teams made it, would I have to declare for only one?

I am confused by your question- are you in two teams in the same league? That seems to be a be clear no-no.

I have been on different teams from different leagues that both made playoffs in districts/sections. According to my section (Mid-Atlantic) You can only be on one team for playoffs. However, I could be on one team for districts, lose to my other team, and then play on that other team for sections, etc...

The way it works here is you have to declare, if you don't then whatever team you first played for is the team you go to the playoffs with.

Players are always supposed to go to their team captains about questions like this. Team captains should have copies of sectional, district and local league rules. Different areas are going to have different rules about something like this, so your best source of info is your team captain. Have you asked him/her?
