Hmm.. as a tennisfan, I'm a little sad that Murray lost. On the other hand.. GO HAASE!!! Well done!!

I´m not surprised with Haase anymore, he is definitely one of the most promising youngsters in the tour. Maybe people are overlooking him because he comes from a country without a big tennis tradition.
In the last year, he has beaten Murray,Berdych,Baghdatis and Ljubicic on a hard court.
He is 6´3 but his movement and footwork is as good as any, he is fearless on the court and has no real weaknesses in his game. His serve is not huge but good, his forehand is a great weapon, his two-handed backhand is good too and he makes a good use of the drop shot.
Today he outplayed Murray from the baseline, plain and simple, and even if Murray´s defensive game is one of the best in the tour there was nothing he could do today. On the other hand, I have noticed that Haase plays his best against the big names but tends to struggle a little bit against players with a similar ranking than him. He still needs some more consistency but he has the game to be a great player in the future. I placed a bet against him earlier this year which I shouldn´t have done.

If people retired every time they lost a match there wouldn't be any player left on the tour!

Hewitt loses many matches. He is clearly past his prime, the game has totally passed him by to the point he is beatable by any player at anytime on any surface, and has virtually zero chance of being a bottom end top 10 player again no matter how hard he tries.

I don't know, I enjoyed his match against Baghdatis at the AO, I don't think he's that bad...

Only reasons hewitt and roddick are around is for some chances of winning slams without facing Federer. They know they still have chances if there is no need to face Federer to win it.

Hewitt and Roddick have lost to many other players in the Slams in recent years. I say Roddick has a slight chance to win one more Slam, Hewitt has none.

6-4 Nadal, breaking Tursunov´s serve in the right moment.
Tursunov is tough on this fast indoor surface but Nadal is playing well at the moment.

yeah, hewitt's chance is diminishing.
amazingly he used to have winning records on ALL top 10 ners (except Federer) 2001 to about 2006.
not any more.
but still some remote chance remained before these new young talents between ages of 18-22 becomes top players (of course Djokovic and Nadal already matured...)

Zverev takes out Ferrer in straight sets 6-2 and 7-5. What a weird tournament. So far, five of the seeds do not get beyond the 2d round.

Davydenko is killing me here, I know Llodra is a great player, but crazy tournament indeed, the #2 seed out 6-3, 7-5. :(

Tomas Berdych isn't too far behind down a set and 5-3 to Karlovic. :-?

Amazing. Aaaamazing! Seven seeded players don't get beyond the second round as they are taken out by basically 3rd tier players.

Baghdatis to Soderling, ranked #59
Youzhny to Tipsarevic, #44
Ferrero to Gabashvili, #132!
Berdych to Karlovic, #24
Ferrer to Zverev, #98
Murray to Haase, #94
and Davydenko to Llodra, #58

Is everyone in a hurry to get to sunny Dubai? Does this open the field for Nadal, or what.
