Babolat Origin/Luxilon 4g Full Sets Or Hybrid Mix..

Hi i love the feel of a multifilament for the ball pocketing, feel, connection to my stroke, looking for good tension matience aswell, i have come across the babloat origin,also the 4g luxilon.. was thinking about testing a hybrid setup origin mains, 4g crosses, i know you can vary tension on mains/crosses any suggestions or feedback on good tensions across both, i do like it on the tighter side.. or would full sets be best??

full set is very powerful with this string, it is best to hybrid it (I use weisscannon silverstring in crosses because of it lower power in winter and early spring playing)

as mentioned hybrid with Origin mains/ 4g crosses, this will give you the best all around.

THe origin is a very powerful string itself even at higher tensions but offers fantastic comfort. THe deader 4g will still give it some top spin abillity but will tame the origin enough to balance it out

Thanks for the advice, would you agree with the previous 56 52 tensions 56 origin 52 4g? also with breaking the origin in the main will last reasonably?

you can even try origin at 58/ 4g at 53

and yes the 4g should last slightly longer than the origin depending on when the mains break first

Need to tells us what frame you are using and what gauge of Origin and 4g.

Stiff power oriented Frame with 16g strings: Origin 58/ 4G 52 (Think Pure Drive, Pure Aero, Wilson Ultra or Burn)
Flexy control frame with 17g strings: Origin 54/ 4G 46 (Think Prince Phantom, Head Prestige, Yonex VCORE 95)

And many low powered smooth strings will suffice as crosses with Origin. Velocity as a multi, but 4G, Max Power, Cream also are smooth crosses with decent tension maintenance.

Yes, Velocity made by Head ... low powered muted (for a multi) multifilament. Explosive is a multifilament also ... never played it and not seen it discussed here on forum.

weisscannon explosiv is one of the most powerful multi in he market, I do not think that is good idea unless you are looking for crazy power.

Just confirming the right string is head velocity MLT 1.30 16G? if i was to hybrid this would this run a similar tension 58 origin 53 4g instead of 4g, trying the head?

I'd run Velocity 16g at 52 in the crosses with Origin 57. I'd also suggest natural Velocity over Black. Coating wears slower in the natural IMO.

Does Origin 17 (or 16?)/Max Power 17 hybrid could last much longer than VS Touch 16/Max Power 17 in the Phantom Pro 100? (on clay)
And what about spin?
