Babolat Pure Strike Project One7

Since the racquet has been out for a little while. What are peoples impressions of it? I have a demo on it's way. But unfortunately it's strung with a multi. I was told it was Wilson NXT. I'm a poly user who absolutely refuses to use anything but. So I think I'm going to cut out the multi as soon as I get it and string it up with a cheap poly just to get a gauge of what it would play like with a full bed of poly. Has anyone been playing with this frame strung with poly?

...and the better options?
surely the Babolat Pure Strike Project One7 is not the only game in town, with all the frames available to demo and buy out..
the answer is the best for you and your game...but hey it maybe the Babolat Pure Strike Project One7 ...
let your hands decide, not the hype...

I use a PDR+. My hitting partner and I demoed this stick and we both thought it was sweet hitting but underpowered. He added some lead to the hoop and it was fantastic. It hits like a softer PD. Personally, I like the PD's hard edge feel, but I know others don't.

I have played a number of different polys in this frame. It is a very solid frame and even a full bed of poly plays comfortably. I've had elbow issues previously and this is one of the few frames that I feel no vibration, discomfort... with poly.

That said... Since I discovered Monogut ZX mains with Multi crosses, I've not not played poly. I still keep 1 frame around with a full bed of poly but that one stays in the bag pretty much.

There's already a thread for this. FWIW I play with a leaded up Pure Strike 17, 364g strung weight 360 SW and it has tremendous plow through and extremely plush. Great racket if you ask me, it may be over hyped but it doesnt mean its not a good racket

Best babolat i’ve hit with in recent memory. Very easy to pick up and play effectively with. Needs some weight in the handle and tip

Can I ask the weights and locations that you've applied to get to that spec. That it an absolute beast!

About 12 grams from 11-1, the rest in the handle at the 7" mark, with two overgrips. Pretty hefty stick but solid as all hell when you strike the ball right.

Still experimenting and might drop the SW abit because it tires you out pretty fast
