Technically the WTA season is over.

So a lot of these girls are free agents now in the lameduck period until season begins end of next month. Not saying you're wrong, but a lot of these girls who aren't high ranked don't have long term endorsement deals like the top players. Remember even Halep was wearing a non-branded dress for AO last year.

I know at the WTA venue I string for, the girls are responsible for stenciling if they want it. There is usually only one or two stringers at these tier 1 events and they are booked. I don't think all WTA contracts are co-terminus at year end.

Red Rock isn't a WTA event - it is an $80K tournament, basically the same as a Challenger. No surprise there are no stencils or a big name commentator.

Stollar has a deal with TW, not Wilson. Uses yonex grips and Babolat strings if I’m not mistaken.

Yes, that is it. Most players actually do not carry their own stencils as the stringing rooms usually have them. This is a small tournament using local stringers and clearly they do not have stencils as many contracted players are playing without stencils. Nothing more should be read into this.
