Pallet + buttcap would be about $40. I have heat-shrink sleeves at home. It would also be an easy way to add half an ounce to the handle - basically killing two birds with one stone.
Berdych could have used different specs/customization or they could be coming from another player. The pro stock racquets have so many different specs...
All the TGK260.2 i have seen were all different in term of specs.
Berdych is really using a YT Radical MP though with the 16x19 string pattern. So it should be paint like a Radcial MP.
Lol Darren Cahill was talking about how he spoke to the Head rep and was told that Tomas was going back and forth between the Radical and Instinct. :roll:not that the tv announcers are knowledgeable but thought heard them say it was the instinct like masha uses.

How is different PJ affects how the frame plays ? I think that is just in his head.
That's the point. He plays with the Radical PJ because he's superstitious.

Weight is 13 ounces and balance is 5 or 6 points headlight. I posted that a while ago. He plays with a white overgrip too (13 oz is without the overgrip). Also plays with an "O" dampener - I don't know what those weigh compared to the rubber band that came with the strung one.
I heard a engineer say that sometimes the molecule in different colored dye align differently and affects the aerodynamics of the racket. that might explain the different feel with different color PJ

And you're supposed to have gone to Stanford? HA!
Can't you just, stop being completely mind-bogglingly clueless, for once?
is this guy serious or is he a big troll xD?
That's not a question that needs to be asked...
You just answered your own question.
It does crush the ball but you need the strength to get the thing moving fast enough. It's not surprising that he has a two-handed backhand.
> what did you spec yours up to?
They were his actual sticks.
> also does anybody know the exact specs of his old dunlops
> because ve got an old dunlop 4d 300 tour that is the exact same
> mold as his old ones ans was thinking of trying to match them up.
There are two of his old Dunlops for sale at the String Forums. You could ask the seller for the specs or buy one or both.
wow his actual sticks, howd you get yours hands on them?
do you think you could tell me the exact weight, balance and swingweight?
cheers
I took off the bumper/grommet to take a peek and there was four inches of lead at 12:00. So the formula for making a Berdych racquet is to take a tgk260.2, put four inches at 12 under the bumper, 2 x six inches at 3:00 and 2x six inches at 9:00 and then add silicone in the handle to get to 13 ounces (including dampener but not including overgrip).
I also learned a little something about grommet strips. After taking it off, I was unable to get it back on as some of the grommets didn't line up with the holes. It's not clear to me as to whether or not my second frame was ever strung but a few of them were frayed and a few had small dents. I didn't have an awl handy but I did have a variety pack of nails (good for adding weight in the handle - you just push it into the silicone). I used a medium-sized nail to align the grommets with the holes and got it back on. The question is should I try to make another one?
It is two separate strips, quarter inch tape I believe. I took pictures but have not uploaded them yet.

Being a pro stock frame, I would have thought it would require more lead in the hoop. If my math is correct, we're talking about
At 12: 8" equals 2grams
At 3: 12" equals 3 grams
At 9 12" equals 3 grams
Only 8g total so there must be a vast quantity of silicone in the handle.
Thanks for the pics.
When I was using the APD's I always had my lead at 12. Even when trying lead and 3/9, I always liked keeping some at the tip as well for the rotational help.
Here's a video of him using the Instinct in a practice session at Cincinnati. Seems like he is going back and forth.

That is a cool video. I like watching the contrast between him an verdasco.
Its a great video, except I think that is melzer!!
Nope, melzers a righty.
