Best String Setup For Fischers....

Ive been noticing a few posters on here talking about how a certain string setup works really well with Fischer rackets and that they dont feel as good with anything else.

The setup is gut mains and poly crosses.

Anyway...I strung up some multifilament mains and BB ALU Power crosses today (60/57lbs) as I have been wanting to try it for a while but didnt want to waste some gut on a setup I was trying for the first time.

I hit with the hybrid for 2 hours and it really did feel amazing. Pocketing, spin, power and feel were all 10/10 for me. Volleys felt very crisp and I could add more spin on the 2nd serve. It felt like I had more power but no loss in control...I felt like I could not miss.

I have just ordered some Bab VS Touch 1.30 and 1.35...cant wait to try them out. Will also try Pro Supex Big Ace in the crosses.

The main issue is durability...but it played so well I dont really care right now! Im hoping string savers and the 1.35 gut will hold up OK.

Fischer users...is this the magic string combo?

It is good, sure, but I think for SOME fischer models (specifically ceramic Pro #1s) the tension range is also important. I have been playing with different tension setups, dialing right down the middle has also done wonders for me. I play with #1 FTs now, so it's not as big a deal, and different strings play like any other frame, with a slightly muted feel. Which frame are you hitting with?

Pro No1s 320g unstrung Red/Black...I think the tensions I have been using are too high...the Pro No1 seems to perform better at lower tensions with no loss in control. What string you using in the FT?

Are you switching again to another stringjob? You just swtiched 2 days ago!!

I switch every day :)...tbh I try new stuff all the time...I really need to stick with something!

The Multi M Poly X plays great but think I will have a big issue with durability even with the gut.

I use a plain old multi that i got in fischers players package at 60lbs. I love the spin, vollerys, power, and everything i get out of it. Personally I think there is no best string setup for fischers, it is just personal prefrence

My recommendation to you is to use the string that you play best with

lol. well the only strings ive ever played with on my fischer is a poly/ syn gut or multi hybrid and a full syn gut.. never tried a syn gut or multi/poly hybrid so i was just getting some good info on it.
