Can i still consider this a Mojo rig?

So I had a half set of Pacific Classic 17 and i just couldn't decide what to hybrid it with in the crosses... until i found a half set of Isospeed Professional Classic i had completely forgotten about.

I remembered there was a very popular setup called "the Mojo rig" in honor of TT poster NBM consisting of gut mains and Isospeed Pro classic so i went for it and strung my frame at 52/57 lbs.

After completing the job i was curious about this rig and searched the boards. I could never find how, when or where this combination originated (the fact that NoBadMojo's posts were all gone did not help) but i realized that Klip Legend gut was always used for the mains. I was under the impression that any brand of gut was fine and would only affect playability in a very subtle way but this finding put me in doubt.

So, questions are:

- Among all available guts, why was Klip Legend chosen in particular for this setup? (Is it a matter of price, feel, playability or was it simply NBM's favorite gut?)
- How different will my current setup feel and play compared to the "correct" Mojo rig? Hardly any difference or not even close?

Thank you!
And btw, anyone here still using this setup?

Considering the fact that i probably have one of the worsts user name in Internet history, i think i'll past on this one.

Anyway, this post is a lot too long for nothing. Mojo Rig or not, i'm still at my first few experiments with gut and it struck me as odd that Pacific Classic was never mentioned at all in any of the posts i read on the subject. They're the same price after all.

Glad to see you guys both think the Pacific blend is even better, although i'm not quite sure if you are serious or playing with me here :)

Hideous, it seems our paths cross again. I've used the mojo rig quite often over the last few years. It's a nice setup - plays great until the ISOSPEED breaks, is softer than a gut/poly hybrid, offers better spin than full gut, controls the power of gut at mid fifties tensions, and reduces string movement.

As to when MoJo advocated Klip, he also advocated Volkl - which was imported by Klip.....

I'm off to play tennis now.

Sorry, not joking. The Pacific Classic, IMO, is better than Klip Legend. Ergo, the term Improved Mojo Rig.

Let us know how you like it.
