You always hear about how Nadal will destroy 1hbh's by hitting high to them.

However, you never really hear the same thing said for 2hbh's - is that because a 2hbh can hit easily attack balls that are extremely topspin-laden, and have bounced very high?

Asides from Djokovic, are most pro's with 2hbh's kind of impervious to Nadal's forehand? Because with two hands on the backhand, that player can easily take a Nadal forehand that rears up above head-height, and hit huge winners off of it at will?

If so, (asides from Djokovic) - does Nadal struggle with 2hbh players because his crosscourt forehand (which his game basically revolves around) is rendered completely ineffective against them?

Does Nadal have to revert to 'plan b' to beat these 2hbh players by avoiding their backhands at all costs, and instead attacking their forehands, or instead trying to play ultra-aggressively (including perhaps approaching the net more than usual) in order to take matters into his own hands?

Sometimes I wonder if people are aware that Nadal has the highest winning % of anybody in Open history; this does include a few players with 2HBH...

Don't know about "breaking down", but I voted the first option.

I think that 2hbh'ers have far less difficulty with the loopy topspin to their backhand than 1hbh'ers. Still I'm sure it can be difficult for a 2hbh'er too. They just break down less I think.

Considering Nadal brutalizes the vast majority of 2HBH players, I'd say he is very capable of breaking down the 2HBH. They eventually cough up the short ball just the same as 1 handers if you keep pounding their backhand with heavy topspin.

Davydenko wouldn't be 6-1 against Nadal on hc if he was a 1hbh.

I think you like to point out H2H of only one surface, no?

What is Fed on clay against Nadal? 2-13?

As the 5555 would say...you are off topic.

This is about Nadal against the 2hbh, and the OP made a good point since Nadal can't break down against to even a lesser player(e.g. Rosol).

also consider a vast majority of players weaker side is the backhand side

I think his forehand breaks any type of backhand as long as the player is right handed. Let's face it, the only backhand he hasn't broken yet is Djokovic's backhand, but the guy probably has one of the best backhand of all time, and he's also the only player who can really take it to Nadal.

one aspect of nadal's forehand that frequently goes under the radar, is the extreme angles he can create with the top-spin that he generates. this allows him to stretch the player wider on the deuce court. this also partly exposes the relatively shorter reach of the 2HBH.
