Chest imbalance

I’m a left handed play and have been playing for a little over a year now when I started my chest was equal but now my left pectoral is significantly smaller than my right even though I don’t train any different on one side I’m wondering if the shrinking chest is my body trying to adapt to have a larger range of motion in my strokes

Maybe go see a doctor?

You're probably burning off the fat in your left pec because you're using it more often. Tennis swings are more of a cardio exercise vs resistance training so you may be losing fat. Yes, in general, its true that specifically targetting an area to lose fat in that location doesn't work well, it does work though.

No, it's because you read stupid stuff on the internet and then imagine that it somehow pertains to you

Unless you're a high level Junior training 10 hours a day, none of the stuff you read applies to you.

Seriously, I had similar and most tennis players have non-symetric changes that take place as tennis does not impact both sides of the body equally.

They used to talk about Rod Laver's popeye left arm I believe.

From what I've come to understand, I don't believe this is true. Fat spot reduction is a myth

Not sure if you've heard about an "arm bike". It's basically like a bicycle for your arm.

It has settings for resistance level. It's technically not a fitness device but rather more of a rehab/physical therapy device. But, it does wonder for chest muscles development and/or strengthening.

They're rather expensive in the $2k plus ballpark.

I have used them before during rehab from a couple of elbow surgeries. They had me use them to regain range of motion and loosen up my elbow after the surgeries.
