Whether bee el oh double-you es or just plain "blows," one thing's for certain:Today's semifinals feature the top 4 players. Unlike the last 2 "Slams". I contend that whoever wins here is the real #1 and the GOAT. I have a feeling it won't be the guy with the elegant strokes.
Yes, the need to rejoice in the sureshsian vortex and thus achieve such greatness only became apparent as a result of Poobian pretzel logic. thank you mr sureshs!Federer never really cared all that much about Cincinnati (at least not more than any other MS tournament) until this thread was created. Thank you, sureshs, good job.
Hint...stay upwind of OP!Whether bee el oh double-you es or just plain "blows," one thing's for certain:
this thread blows.

Fact is, Fed is up against 3 players who have all beaten him in the past, and who share the attribute of not having too much love for him. Quite different from a Roddick or Del Potro or Haas or Soderling who lose a match to him before the first serve is struck. This is his real test as a champion.
Because, when you are a defending champion everybody is gearing up towards taking you down. Everybody is playing with that extra motivation against you.
Defending means that you met the challengers and defeated them, when you were in the center of the things and there was a target on your forehead. The alpha male.
Hitting when flying under the radar (i.e. when nobody expects you to do so well) can be attributed partly to the surprise element. There is no surprise element when you are the defending champ.
Of course that nothing disappears form the statistics! Why would you even say that, when it is obvious?
I could not help but to think of this thread when I was watching the final...
On top of that he beat Djokovic and Murray, the #1 and #2 of the world at that time.. LOL!!
hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha! you called him a champ!Don't think that's how it works there, champ.
Sureshs is Hindi for what dingleberry clings on.Nadal is tainted by the fact that Joker handed him his arse then subsequently got HIS arse handed to him by Fed.
I'm curious, is sureshs Hindi for dingleberry?

King of Bottom Spray.I, hereby, had the privelege to bump this legendary thread made by The King of Top Spin.
OP is Smootherer, the guy with the elegant strokes. Right, @r2473 ???Federer is the greatest.

4.5??????????????????????????????????????????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!SCTA will bump him to 4.5 next season!
Can someone explain the joke here. What is the significance of "the real slam" and what is "the gift that keeps on giving"?
I don't know about the latter, but with regards to "the real slam", Sureshs had pointed out that at that time the semis were occupied by the Big 4, thus labeling it the real slam and that there was no way Fed was going to win the event in that scenarion. Can someone explain the joke here. Of course 2 days later, a huge egg was thrown on his face as Fed steamrolled through Murray and Djoker in the semis and final.
Since then, Cincy has been labeled the Real Slam, further evidence that Fed is GOAT
It also stems from the fact that Federer had won the pervious two Slams without facing any of the Big 4 and had lost the last 4 matches to Murray and 2 to Djokovic. So Sureshs took the plunge and declared Cincinnati to be the "Real Slam" as in his mind it would be the actual test of ability compared to the weak draws of pervious slams.
It wouldn't have mattered anyway. Apparently, it was the first time he did this to win a tournament!
Has Suresh given his approval. On Sunday we will witness the real slam.
Apoobal is incoming.Has Suresh given his approval.
Methinks he will only approve if Nadal wins, which is most likely, but still he wants to just be certain he doesn't do a repeat of the Cinci fiasco.
With the apoobal, we also must receive his prediction that "the guy with the elegant strokes won't win".Apoobal is incoming.
ederer is already the GoatWith the apoobal, we also must receive his prediction that "the guy with the elegant strokes won't win".
Blasphemerer!can this thread die already? lol
