2016 Australian openWe saw it at Paris Bercy 2023 for Alcaraz
Can anyone tell me when did he give Nadal the wooden spoon?
Murray is such a sore loser…
Yeah he’s pretty sour here. Djoko winning faces are pretty boss too haha!Murray is such a sore loser…

I can understand Sir Andy reaction. At that point he was fed up of playing monster that is Novak Djokovic in Melbourne haha!It was a bit of a beating he took from Djokovic in that final. Clearly didn't want to be there for the trophy ceremony.
Classic comment! HahaNadal trying to walk towards the second round, and Verdasco kindly telling him to stop.
quite a contrast to 2015 RG
Both players out of 10 that day?
Murray 6Both players out of 10 that day?
Wow, 5 biggest losses (4 finals and 1 sf) in 6 years, can not be worse, poor Andy...I can understand Sir Andy reaction. At that point he was fed up of playing monster that is Novak Djokovic in Melbourne haha!
I thought Nadal was Finnish winning slams at that point... one of the billion times i was wrong
Yep. Nadal proved us all wrong again after that year! HahaI thought Nadal was Finnish winning slams at that point... one of the billion times i was wrong
RespectMurray 6
Djokovic 8
Problem with Fed is he never got revenge vs Rafa at RG, he needed the swede to take him out. Would be easier watching som old finals if he actually beat Nadal at RG. Being a Federer fan was a tough ride, hope the next one will be easier lol.A question for all you good folks, have any of you gone back and revisited heart breaking losses by your favorites, after they managed to eventually triumph there?
For instance, how many Federer fans have gone back to look at some of those Fedal RG matches knowing he finally won RG, or Djokovic fans looking back at the Wawrinka match knowing Djokovic was going to win it the next year, or Nadal fans with those tough AO five set losses knowing he gets the second win in 2022, or the Murray fans with W 12 knowing he wins it the next year....
Or any other example.

I told you I'd be back with some real hard thought out answers. I just get worried in case I've already rated it before and had different answers.Respect
I have did that for all the big 3.A question for all you good folks, have any of you gone back and revisited heart breaking losses by your favorites, after they managed to eventually triumph there?

I’d probably agree with that too. It wasn’t Murray’s best final and Djokovic wasn’t at his very best height but didn’t need to be.Respect
I have did that for all the big 3.
I love seeing how they respond in a big match when they lose. The reaction in the post match interview or on court final trophy ceremony is key.
You can just tell that the big 3 would all bounce back from their disappointments well and go again strong.
I think Fed at RG in 07/08 losses but we knew he’d keep going and then took his chance in 09 when he was knocking on the door for years. Seen his interview post 08 final and after 09 too. Then we seen Fed bounce back at Wimbledon after tough losses and the Australian 2017 was a special one for Fed too.
Djokovic at RG 2015. He was so emotional having lost to Stan and close matches to Nadal and Fed in past. He was knocking on door but he used that energy and challenged it to win in 2016. As well as his response after surgery and bad spells in 2017/2018
Nadal was pretty down in the 2015/2016 years. He came back with a vengeance in 2017. It was also impressive his response to the 7 Djokovic losses in 2011/2012. He turned the tide for a couple years after.
All 3 guys hated losing and it was why they won so much. Defeats just fueled them to go again and comeback better. Watching these back is full of nostalgia and just reminds us how special these guys were and still are. They just had this winning gene and relentless determination to be the best.
2008? No way! That and W2019 is plain torture lol. Why would i do that to myself? . I actually have watched parts of the AO finals he lost vs Rafa. 2019W was just too bad, it would have been the perfect ending for Fed if he won it.OK. But then how going back to watch AO 2009 or W 2008?
As long as Murray wasn't hitting the top of the pyramid list and above we can forget past answersI told you I'd be back with some real hard thought out answers. I just get worried in case I've already rated it before and had different answers.

No not many actually. Any recommendations? What about any non-slam matches?
I know a Fed fan who hated the YEC 05 result, but went back to watch it again after Federer won the next two editions.

Wow, I didn't realize he looked that different in 2015.quite a contrast to 2015 RG
Tougher than RG 13? Hard to tell. The toughest loss of Djokovic's career up to that point.
Djokovic could have probably played better if he needed true. He as good as already won it after the first few games.I’d probably agree with that too. It wasn’t Murray’s best final and Djokovic wasn’t at his very best height but didn’t need to be.

If it's from the 2015 Australian Open final, I'm not surprised. That match had crazy momentum swinging all over the place for 2 and a half sets, with Djokovic looking exhausted and ready to kneel over. Djokovic then broke through in the third set and won the fourth set 6-0 looking as fresh as a daisy. Murray got sucked in.Murray is such a sore loser…
This one was AO16. Still I can understand his disappointment to be honest. 5th loss in a big match at Melbourne to Novak. If it's from the 2015 Australian Open final, I'm not surprised. I don't know if this counts but I have watched USOpen 2013 final after every single Nole USOpen win. 2015 2018 and 2023. It's a shock how he lost it so badly after being up in the third. He was hitting heavy in that set.A question for all you good folks, have any of you gone back and revisited heart breaking losses by your favorites, after they managed to eventually triumph there?

At that point in time Nadal had Djokovic mentally. Novak played a pretty high level final but choked in key points. Rafa was more aggressive or confident in the break points and break points saved part of match. Nadal was more consistent and had less errors. Both guys played some great offensive tennis, long rallies especially the 50 odd one where Novak broke serve in 2nd set.I don't know if this counts but I have watched USOpen 2013 final after every single Nole USOpen win. 2015 2018 and 2023.
