Do more expensive stringing machines make a better string job?

Steve, it still comes back to incorrect mounting. Sure, if a frame is not mounted in accordance with Klippers instructions (or Gammas,or Alphas, or Silent Partners etc) then who knows what damage will be caused.

I'm the first to agree that the Klippermate is a rather "agricultural" looking machine and I was rather taken aback by the rudimentary mounting system - so much so that I contacted Klipper before my first string job to confirm that the mounting system would support the frame adequately. Following their advice and the instructions in the manual, from the first time I used the machine, I ensured that the mounts were pulled as tightly as I could manage against the frame at 6 and 12. And, as I have posted, never any frame distortion or shortening.

So yes, the Klippermate's mounting posts do need to be very firmly contacted against the frame -that's what Klipper instructs. It's only a fool, the inexperienced or perhaps the uninformed who would ignore thier instructions and suffer the consequences.

Does anyone have a macro shot (or more) of the Klipper mounting system?

But even still, the crosses would be strung at the same tension, and the frame would straighten back out to normal after the crosses are all in! Right, Bud?

Not.

Please cite the reference post for this... otherwise I have no idea which post you're referring to or what context it was intended.

BTW, it's the little icon with the quote symbol ( " ) and the '+' symbol
