Careful with the vinegar shots..
While it may have some health benefits systemically, I've come across a growing trend with patients in my practice doing this on a daily basis and suffering very high rates of tooth decay. Some of the worst cases of rampant caries that have walked into my office have been of course from chronic mountain dew/soda/energy drinkers, but also patients that are consuming ACV shots and lemon juice type shots in the morning every day. Think of your teeth as a matrix of minerals. Acids ultimately will erode the mineral matrix of your teeth and leave them highly susceptible to decay. This stuff just softens the teeth if there's a chronic exposure to it. It doesn't happen overnight....most of these people have been doing this for a solid year or two. Then they show up for examination and that is when we discover how much damage has been done.
If you are going to consume it, be careful about the way you do it. Try to get it down quickly without too much exposure to your teeth, rinse with water and spit to rid your mouth of any residual acid which is damn near impossible. Some will continue to regurgitate this through reflux and silent esophageal regurgitation. If you choose to do it on the scale of years, you will want to seek medical/dental examination regularly, and do it at your own risk.
