I just sent to you. Sorry would have done it sooner but was not near a computer and did not have access to it on my iPhone. Those are great clamps.

Thanks for all the help. Is it normal for a Model H to have the newer Neos type clamps or does that just mean I got a later generation model H
Is it a significant upgrade from the original Model H clamps that are in the model H manual?

Taking it slow cleaning and learning :)

Thanks

The H manual I sent you had the older "cam-action" clamps in the picture--the Neos 1000 manual instructions should assist you with the later version/current version of the clamps. I think the last incarnation of the H (and the earliest generations of the Ektelon Neos) had an Ektelon clamp that was pretty much identical to that on the current Neos 1000 save for the fact that it was black. The earlier versions of the H had a different clamp--good for its time, but not as good as the current version. My H, bought new in the mid to late 80s, is still pretty much mint condition and had the black clamps I previously referenced (although as noted, my manual pictured a different, older version clamp). I finally had to replace them about 3-4 years ago with the current Neos 1000 version (the only differences I can tell is they are gray and say "Neos" instead of "Ektelon" but the original black clamps were good for 1000s of string jobs.

Thanks very useful info. It seems I got a later version Model H. My $325 is looking better all the time.

^^^You are probably right--actually a sticky for all the various manuals would be a good idea. I don't ever mind sending them but a sticky would be more convenient to the person needing a manual. I wonder if there is a copyright issue for TW to do so??

There was a time when TW actually had the Neos 1000 manual available on their website. That was many moons ago.

Thanks MaxPly - sorry but it looks like I need the Neos 1000 Manual too as e my Model H has later version (neos) clamps and I want to make sure I adjust them properly. MaxPly if you or any one else has the Neos 1000 manual please send it to stephen@philipusa.com.

I am trying not to ask too many questions before I have read the manuals. Cheers

Ptetty sure you'll find that it's the same manual, except for the first page.

This video may help.
Also you should use a calibrator like the one shown in the video and not a digital (load cell) model.

EDIT: Does not really matter if you have an Alpha, Gamma, Prince, Eagnas, Pro’s Pro, or any other type of lockout they are all pretty much the same.

Hey Max Ply, I would appreciate a manual for the H also. I've just inherited one. I'm hoping that the manual is all that is missing. Thank you .

^^^I just sent you both the Neos and the H manuals (they are substantially similar but both helpful especially if you have a newer H (with the better Neos-style clamp)
