So here we are. Both gladiators finally meet each other again.
The in-form Argey, former Fed's nemesis David Nalbandian meets the never-ending finalist (and almost never ending champion) Roger Federer.

Who wins this one?

I gotta say Federer in 3.

Federer in 2 close sets. Tough to call though since both are playing very well. Federer has the much stronger serve which could be the difference on this fast court though.

Federer in two tight sets, although Nalbandian is playing great Federer in this kind of form is unstoppable.

This really is a tough one. Roger played pretty well against Kiefer, but I wonder if he might be, like his deputies in world domination, just a bit tired after a heavy schedule. OTH, we all saw what he did to poor Canas, and while he might have beaten Nalby the last time they played, he knows they almost always have tight battles, so he could come out with his sword drawn. Moreover, he has worked hard to turn the head-to-head is in his favor.

As for Nalby: at this point, he has a better chance than anybody not ranked in the top three to pull off the upset. He has started playing great, and has the scalps of top players to prove it. Moreover, when others come in to a match against Fed playing just as well or even better than Nalby is currently, they falter before the first ball is struck because they realize the mountain they have to climb. For David, not only has beaten Federer multiple times, he has done so on a similar surface.

Think Fed might pull it off in two if he comes out firing, but if he gives Nably a chance by letting it go to a third, Nalby takes it. But my predictions have been pretty bad this week. Anyway, to top it off, I hope both play well tomorrow, because I can't wait.

Incredibly dumb statement. Federer has been pulling out of small touraments right and left all year, and had only played one weekend of tennis in the 5 weeks from after the U.S Open until here. If anything some think he does not play nearly enough.

i'm going to say fed will try his best to take it in straights. he knows that this is a dangerous guy like canas and won't want him to get any rhythm at all.

Nalbandian could emulate what Djokovic did earlier in the year by beating the top 3 seeds at a tournament. That would be an great achievement.

I'm voting Fed in 2. Nalbandian may be on fire, but so was Gonzo at the AO and look what happened to him.

Fed's losses early in the year were the result of a noticeable little slump. Fed looked irritable and just wasn't consistently finding his game. When he lost to Djokovic at Monteal I wasn't surprised because Djokovic has a lot of firepower and had played flawlessly all week. Federer didn't play that well in final. It still would have been good enough most of the time, but not that day against Djokovic. When Fed was on, though, he still managed to dominate Djokovic and reminded me just how imposing Federer is when he steps in and controls the point, but when Federer wasn't on he was still taking Djokovic to tiebreakers. I don't think Nalbandian has as much firepower, especially on serve, as Djokovic did that week. Federer will control the center of the court and keep and run Nalbandian like a dog.

Nalbandian in 3 is what I hope to happen, because I want him to win...but taking down Federer in 2 is highly improbable.

BUT! More likely it will be Federer in 2 hard fought sets, or maybe three, yet my heart is with David. Would be perfect irony!

Looks like Canas isn't the only one on drugs. I think in Federer's whole career, he's lost 1 or 2 sets 6-0, and that was when he was 16. If Nalbandian plays like he did against Nadal and Djokovic then it'll be tight but it'll still go Federer's way.

Nalbandian's current form is being a bit overstated in my opinion. Yes, he played superb tennis to beat Nadal but I thought he was rather underwhelming against Djokovic. Djokovic was playing terribly and the only thing that kept him competitive against Nalbandian was his serve, yet the score ended up 6-4 7-6.

I'd take Federer in routine straight sets.

Nalbandian had to play double again after federer's match yesterday and loss to the Bryan's brothers 61 26 10-4 (match tiebreak)

...just thinking this would quite tough since he had to play 2 matches everyday the last few days.

Btw. How do they get the tiebreak score at 10-4?...I'm only familiar with first to score 7 with a margin of 2 points.
