Like he needs the help Haha. Well Nadal.could be tough if tested

Judging from what I have seen, if Djokovic is in the final, Fedal are playing for second place. His movement, and defense is crazy high right now, and that slow court is now perfectly designed for his game, and his backhand DTL is working and when that is working, it is lights out the vast majority of the time.

I dont understand the point of this thread. Come on this is grass and obviously federer is the favourite. If federer beats rafa friday it will be normal but if nadal beats fed it will be huge. Currently I think it is 60-40 to federer. Federer is better than nadal in all aspects of grass tennis and I see roger in 4.

Please don't kid yourself here. There is absolutely nothing normal about Federer beating Nadal in a slam, it will be massive if he does it again at this age, especially with the way Nadal is playing.

Wrong. There hasn't been a 38 year old in a semifinal of a major since Connors at the USO 1991. It wouldn't be normal at all, it would be incredibly rare for a guy 2 weeks shy of turning 38 turning up in a slam final. Nadal is the favorite, no question, based not just on age, but current form.

Right, I laugh some. They use the role of the loser before the duel begins.

Probably Federer is the better grass player, and 8 time champion. He should absolutely be considered the favorite going into this match. Nadal has played well though, and his confidence is much higher. I think he will make a match of it. I think Fed will take it in 4-5 tight sets if I had to bet.

It can happen but the pressure is on Federer for sure. Either way Novak is so damn lucky since both his rivals will slug it out the hard way, if both are in good shape and willing to fight for every point.

I should remind you that nadal has been smoked by fed lately on hards let alone on grass. Tennis is much more about the mental aspects than people think it to be. Niether has rafa played well against fedovic lately in non clay slams. The beatings at the hands of fed will surely come to haunt him on crucial points and I think if nadal can handle his inner demons against fedovic outside clay he has a great chance.

It is about as 50-50 as it gets. At most 55-45 in Feds fav, and that is being generous.

Actually I dont post much but I never attempt to jinx a player. But I try to stay realistic. If a nadal fans says nadal will definitely win some fed fans would complain of him being cocky and if someone says that fed has a better chance to win you guys will say it is jinx attempt. What should we do. BTW this was my personal feeling. Hoping for a great match.

Who would have thought back in 2006 that these two would still be duking it out in the latter rounds of back to back slams 13 years later! Amazing how well the Big 3 are still playing although pathetic how the tour is offering almost zero resistance to them at the slams.

For sure, I'm hoping for a great match. Hopefully whoever wins isn't too tired to face Joker in the final, cuz let's face it RBA won't challenge him at all.

For me, I just don't want a beat down either way. A good entertaining match, I am on the fence on this one, doesn't matter who comes through, they will be a hand full for Djokovic SHOULD he already be there waiting.

I know I wouldn't mind a rematch of the 2018 Rafole semis just with a different outcome ;)

Take the gloves off for half a sec:

In your opinion, which of the two would receive the more savage pounding from Herr Djoker?:)

Savage pounding?

I don't think he will savage them but will win regardless IMO. They are all playing well.

I honestly don't know who I'd be more surprised to hear was still playing in 2019.

I'm actually leaning towards Federer in this one but it's a close call. I'm going 52/48 Federer. I just think grass is his turf, he's in the SF now so his game has been grooved, and he has more tools in his toolbox here. Nadal can definitely win it as well and I think it will be pretty close.
