Yes...Thanks to Olivier Mutis we are now one step closer of watching international tennis on ESPN...
...and please...PMac don't commit suicide!!

Yeah! All the American men are gone! You tight butted American tennis players are a disgrace to real tennis. I flick boogers at you. I fart in your general direction!

Yeah! Of course now that all the American men are gone, they now cut to a quick match showing Davenport. ESPN is freakin unreal.

what is really sad is how rude the french are. The spectators are very rude. I very much dislike andy roddick but he does not deserve to be booed. I feel that we need to draw a line here. They gave jcap attitude yesterday and roddick today its just unreal.
It is more about politics then it is tennis thats sad!

That is such an obvious set up I won't dignify it with a response. Hint: Mauresmo is a frenchman.

I don't know why all of you are happy about the 'name' mens players losing...you know this just means more Williams, Davenport, Capriati, etc. Im not sure ESPN will be 'forced' to show us Coria and other good dirt ballers, even though I would like them to. But anyway, Im a huge Roddick fan and I have to say that his fifth set was the worst attempt at clay court tennis I seen. Thats my favorite womens and mens players going out back to back...I might just go play some golf instead.

im an american and dont like roddick or serena williams but the french crowd is just ridiculous, what a bunch of a-holes.

the funny thing was ofter one of roddicks huge serves the ball "popped" off of his racket so hard and loud that the french crowd thought it was a gunshot and the enitire stadium surrendered...

the french crowd arent assholes, you guys are idiots who are being led on by espn programming. Heres a quick recap,

mutis put up his hand before roddick's second serve and roddick said he wanted 2 serves (he hadnt hit the ball yet or nothing.)

he argued with the chair umpire complaining the umpire was readjusting his mic during roddicks serve (because the ump had to come and check calls every 2 seconds..but i can give roddick credit here, the ump needs to be more consciencous...then again roddick needs to ignore it, mutis wasnt distracted..). Roddick yelled at the towel boy (YES HE DID, HE WAS POITNING HIS FINGER LIKE NUTS AND SCREAMING AT THE KID to get him a towel, and the crowd boos, pmac says the crowd is looking for any reason because andy was 'just asking for a towel' )

THE CLINCHER IS......roddick complained to the umpire during the match and change over that mutis was GRUNTING after his shots, just before roddick's ......and this was distracting queen roddick !!!

im sorry but, stop being such stereotypical americans just hating on the french. granted they aint the best crowd, but those boos are more than ****ing justified.

LoL at Mileslong's comment. Man, that was one of the funniest things ever. Even though I have some french blood in me, that's still pretty damn funny.

Mr. Roddick now has lots of time to sharpen his grass court game. It's a blessing in disguise. You folks heard it hear first.

Roddick was not shouting at the ball kid, he just yelled really loud! He wasn't trying to be rude. I mean everyone loses once in a while. Roddick stinks on clay but he had a bad stomach virus a day or two before and think about the hotel fire in Rome, and even having a bad wake-up call in the morning.(Fire alarm). It may not be why Roddick lost, but cut the guy some slack. Yall need to stop making fun of someone else who would probably bagel you like a hundred times if u played him. Why dont u guys imagine standing in front of a large crowd and playing against someone like him? It is just mere jealousy....

It's funny how folks can see the same match, and put different spins on it.

But what I haven't heard you guys mention was Andy's applauding his opponent's winners, which he did several times. And his good-humored disbelief when he got a lucky net-cord, setting up an impossible shot for Mutis, who got it, and hit the cord himself. It looked as though it was going out, but somehow the ball managed to bounce on the line. All Andy could do was smile.

There were some great points there, and I saw Andy asking for the towel, and I didn't understand why the crowd booed him. He just wanted the towel.

I missed the last set, as I had to go to work. But the momentum was in Mutis's favor, and at the end of the fourth, he was outplaying Andy. I wasn't surprised at the result at all. Andy just hasn't gotten his feet on clay. It isn't his best surface and, as someone mentioned above, the extra practice on grass may not hurt. Worked in his favor last year. So we shall see.
