Legend
As all of the big 3 have now passed the 30 years of age mark, I thought I would point out a few things (For the purpose of this thread, I consider their age as the year they turned that age so for example in 2017 Roger is 36 although he only turns 36 next week):
GS Titles at age 19:
Fed: 0
Rafa: 1
Djoker: 0
GS Titles at age 20:
Fed: 0
Rafa: 2
Djoker: 0
GS Titles at age 21:
Fed: 0
Rafa: 3
Djoker: 1
GS Titles at age 22:
Fed: 1
Rafa: 5
Djoker: 1
GS Titles at age 23:
Fed: 4
Rafa: 6
Djoker: 1
GS Titles at age 24:
Fed: 6
Rafa: 9
Djoker: 4
GS Titles at age 25:
Fed: 9
Rafa: 10
Djoker: 5
GS Titles at age 26:
Fed: 12
Rafa: 11
Djoker: 6
GS Titles at age 27:
Fed: 13
Rafa: 13
Djoker: 7
GS Titles at age 28:
Fed: 15
Rafa: 14
Djoker: 10
GS Titles at age 29:
Fed: 16
Rafa: 14
Djoker: 12
GS Titles at age 30:
Fed: 16
Rafa: 14
Djoker: 12
This shows a few interesting things:
1. How close these guys are and blows your mind at how many slams one may have had if the other two didn't exist or chose a different sport.
2. with Djoker now out for the rest of the season that none of them won a slam in the year they turned 30
3. Roger made the most of his prime (in age 23 - 28) years
4. Rafa got off to a flying start but hit some injuries at times when he really got going (end of 2009 stands out as he was the dominant player in 2008 and 2010)
5. Djokovic is just as good as the other two but may (of course he still has a chance to make up for it in the future) have had too slow a start compared to Fedal (a couple of 1 slam years that in hindsight he would prefer were multiple year slams (2012 & 2014). To his credit he has come storming back and will need to continue to do so.
The intention of this thread is not a Fedalovic war thread as I admire the achievements of all three despite being a Rafa fan through and through.
