I would not say it’s better than 630 but definitely easier to use then 630.
Feel is good not as soft as 630 but 90% there no need for dampener and very satisfying hit like 630 was.
Feels better than my 93p strung with velocity which is a softer string vs one that came with the gravity pro demo which looks like anthracite gray head poly some form of hawk I think.
I’m just hesitant to buy without trying new blade first that could be even softer but 20mm beam I think would be my preference vs blade 22mm
I agree; demoing the Gravity pro and after a long time, Head has made a very good racquet. Feel is awesome; much better than the previous Graphene versions; though, may be not as good as the classic frames.
TW review is spot on; very good for serving, slicing and volleying. Don't know why Head did not release the Tour version (305g) in US? They are releasing a good line after such a long time and the 305g static weight range is one of the highest selling. Why skip US?
Comparing to other racquets...
- Previously I demoed Graphene 360 Pro; that was so hollow and with no plow. Gravity Pro is much better in every category!
- Feel is slightly better than my TC100 70RA, but not as maneuverable; TC100 has better directional control and has more spin (because of the string pattern). Surprisingly, serving is better with G-Pro; not speed wise, but for kick and slice serves. Both are equally stable.
- IG Prestige Mid: still this is the best feeling racquet; but G-Pro has a bigger sweetspot and very forgiving.
I am not that interested in the Blade line, because of the balance and the muted feel. Rather, the new Babolat Project 2020 Tour version coming soon looks interesting.
