Hello,
I have a 315 g gravity pro and heard rublev has the same racket 340g, is there any way i could buy his specs somewhere or make my racket to his weight?

to play like him, already try to spend as many years doing that, training several hours a day, like him, to have a physical condition like him, and do as much training like him, after maybe be see the same racket, the same weight and the same strings.

if i drive the same F1 car as hamilton, i will crash after 100 meters!

unless you are already him? ./

I found my Gravity Pro also in need of extra weight. Changed the grip to leather, putty in the handle and put about 10g of tungsten tape in the hoop at 3 and 9. Much better now. Strung, overgripped and dampened comes in at around 356g.

I just think that instead of doing like this or that player, or trying to use some other's hardware, it would be smarter to know exactly what you want, or rather to know what you are missing today ' hui on the racket you have.

my two brothers have the same physique, (1m85-1m87 and 82-85kg), they have practically the same type of game, but are unable to play with the other's racket.

the first has a frame of 345g strung, with the weight in the handle, and the second does not manage to play beyond 340g strung, and balanced.

however, they play the same way, have the same level. but what could go to one can never go to the other.

they made their equipment evolve from the feelings of each, by trying little by little. in any case copying a setup of any player (who will have taken years to refine these specificities) will not make you progress. the worse you get an injury, the better you will believe you will play the better. but nothing will be worth exploring the setups that suit you best. self-sticking lead strips are a good option to add or remove a few grams as you go, or by moving them. by comparing with two or three other frames in order to know which is the setup which suits you best

@emanuel123 ,

Find his racket specs first. However, I would suspect he has prostock frames customized by Head. So even if you get the weight and balance correct it may not be distributed in the same manner with like material so it might feel "different" than Rublev's rackets. Even his drill pattern and layup could likely be different. I am just speculating though, maybe it is a retail racket with some Blue Tac in the handle and lead on the hoop.

If you do get the DIY customization bug get a small compressor and a narrow crown stapler to reattach the butt caps. There are lots of threads on TT about DIY racket work. I have made more than several franken-rackets just to see what happens...sometimes the results can be funny, dangerous and painful, maybe all three in one racket:)

Ooof, adding weight to the Gravity Pro.

Personally I love the Pro. It's the best feeling of any racquet I've tried, by far. But it's clear I can't keep up the racquet head speed at this weight, especially on my serve -- with overgrip and dampener at 12oz. So, I'm making peace with my Gravity Tour, which also has a great feel but not quite that sweet thick thud of the Pro.

As you work on tuning your own racquets, try to keep track of their balance. As you add some weight to their hoops, they should get more of that inherent stability that you're probably looking for. But as racquets get heavier, they generally need to have a more head-light (HL) balance so that they don't get too sluggish.

The spec sheet for the Gravity Pro lists its balance at 6 pts. HL in its stock form where it weighs 332g (11.7 oz.) strung. String will add roughly 15g to a racquet. So if your tuned Gravity Pro ends up at around 355g strung, you'll probably want it to have at least a couple extra points of HL balance. I play with a couple of Volkl C10's with that sort of weight and they only have lead tape added to their handles. They balance at 10 or 11 pts. HL and fit me just right.

You might feel a substantial gain in stability and power after adding only 4-6 grams to the head of your racquet, but you'll probably need to add a lot more than that to the handle to make the racquet balance more comfortably head-light. Be ready to experiment with that a little bit. Heavy racquets are nothing to be afraid of as long as they have a balance that lets them maneuver and swing comfortably for you.

you can of course bring your GPro to his static weight, if you believe it to be 340g unstrung.
leather grip
silicone in the handle
lead / tungsten tape

but, an alternative is to start adding weight based on what you want to achieve and try to find specs that fit your game.
if you do a bit of search, it is not that difficult, and there is an entire section on tennis warehouse dedicated to this.

the caveat is to keep any eye on the balance and SW.

Don't pay attention to the naysayers, emanuel123. If you want to increase the weight of your racquet to match the specs of someone else's then do it. If after doing so you don't like it then you can easily take some or all of the weight back off. No harm, no foul.

I’m all for customizing, it’s nice to experiment and figure out what works for your game. I had started with an Ezone 100 and added tungsten tape and a leather grip to it. It was an awesome racquet. I have the Ezone Tour now and it’s perfectly balanced at stock. All the best in your customizing.

One quick point, it’s great that you’re a Rublev fan, but be the best player YOU can be. I’ve heard most pros say “don’t be like me, be better than me”.;)

Really glad you found a good fit, thank you for your advice

Thinking the same thing, got the fairway leather grip and will start experimenting

Emanuel,

Looks like Rublev has specs that are very easy to achieve with a stock Gravity Pro.

I read here (do a search) that his specs are something like 340 swingweight/360g static weight. That can be achieved on a stock GP by adding weight to the handle. I'd suggest you open up the trap door on the buttcap and add bluetac/tungsten putty to try it out. When you're happy with the results, fill up one chamber with silicone of same weight.

Hope this helps you to achieve what you want. If you want to play with Rublev's specs just do it, man! :)

are you saying that Rublev has 25g of silicone in the handle and no lead / tungsten in the hoop?
that would make it super HL

Retail GP is around 335 swingweight so there's not a lot of room to add weight in hoop.

For sure approaching the exact specs will be hard if we don't know the exact specs 8-B

precisely, this is where I would be skeptical about Rublev adding 25g of weight to his GPro.
and I also wonder if Zverev keeps adding weight to his GPro

You'd probably take your foot off the gas and the car would go into anti-stall before you got to 100m.

in the same way that a club player, even a very good one, will not know how to use a racket of a top ATP player and will hold back all his shots so as not to be injured.

So we come back to the original questioning, why try to try to play with the racket? .. (the same setup).

for me: play with your racket, and use it fully, and when you get to the end, ask what you need. power? spin? heaviness in the ball? control? and at this time, I think I will have to ask the question of customization, depending on what you are looking for!

in my opinion, of course.

a few years ago my brother got a rebel prince when Gael Monfils left prince for wilson.

it was customized for him.
my brother has a bit of the same game as Gael, but very, very far from the same level of play.

he was unable to send the racket, and after a few rallies he put the racket away.
I think a customized and prepped racquet is like a pair of custom shoes. we may have the same size, not sure that it suits us.
