Just to warn you. I uploaded the full match and they almost suspended my account. By tomorrow TennisAustralia is gonna be knocking on your door becuase thats what happened to many people for posting it on youtube.

Thanks Jenny! What I don't get is why are they taking down only THIS year's AO videos. I had put up Henin/Dementieva highlights and they took them down next day, but I have plenty of other highlights from past AOs.

How can I download the videos?
And I think uploading the videos on youtube make them lower quality?
Is there any way you could upload the files somewhere so that we can all download and keep the videos?
Coz youtube is probably taking down the videos soon

Argh, Tennis Australia is such a *&*(&^(*. Can't even watch highlights of this year's matches.
I think they'll stop policing in a few weeks. They aren't gonna search youtube forever.

yes they are going to continue. It's using an automated id system. They only need one media person to review the auto flagged videos.
But I'm fine with a few minutes of courtside videos taken from the event for news purposes.
I don't agree with breaking copyright and rebroadcasting tv telecasts.

anyway, to download it you should have an add-on (I use mozilla firefox) like "downloadhelper" which helps you downloading all the files from a homepage.

If a brand new you tube user with no followers uploaded highlights of the AO and called the video "MY DOG!" would they find it?

I'm not privy to the working of youtubes video id system i can only guess. Someone with time and plenty of accounts should test it out.
Tagging with australian open tennis 2010 + player from the draw will add points towards getting auto flagged. Can't imagine this would be enough to auto flag the video.
I believe they're picking up on the actual telecast of the true blue court allowing video identification. this includes the outline court shape, two blue colors and perhaps the "melbourne" logo or telecast watermarks
Remove the LOGO, watermarks, switch the colors round, cutout broadcast camera booths and no tags.
It shouldn't be auto flagged and only manually. unless ta is hiring a 1000 monkeys to trawl youtube for potentially offending videos..

youtube can search comments. If anyone writes go "Federer sweet 16" which are common terms, they will look at it.
