Wow. I'm charging the equivalent of about $6.10 for stringing someone's racquet with their own strings
Where are you located? I’ll drop off about 8 frames! I’ll even give you a raise..$10. Deal?Wow. I'm charging the equivalent of about $6.10 for stringing someone's racquet with their own strings
A good gauge of how much stringing labor should cost in your area is how much it costs to have a men’s haircut, including tip.

I only charge $10 but I only string for friends and friends of friends. If you don’t bring it to me at my convenience, I don’t answer your calls or texts. You can go pay more elsewhere.
I should charge more but I’m not doing it for income. This is just gas money.
This is the same for the Parks and Rec department (City funded) ran tennis club where I am at. If you buy the $20 pack of Luxilon poly from them it is going to be $40 total minimumMy friend charges $10. The local tennis shop thinks they’re something and charges $25 for labor only.
Actual tennis shops in the South Bay (not the big box stores) charge between $20-25 for labor.I live in Sunnyvale, California i.e. the South bay area. The labour cost varies from shop to shop. Major chains like Spo*** Base**** charge 25$ for a turnaround time of 2 days. I believe Di*** sp***ing G**ds charge 15$, but the turnaround time is quite long. There are some other lesser known local shops that charge as low as 14$ for a 4hr turnaround time and 10$ for a 24 hr turnaround time.
4$. I make 7$/hour, so it's a bit too much. 40 minutes of my time for some strings on my racket? No thanks. But what can you do.
I charge $12 for the same day (24 hours) turn in the Dallas area
If you live in the South bay, you can try Qui** Rack** Restring*** or Rack** Sup**y. I believe both of them charge less than 15$ and the turnaround time is a day or less.Actual tennis shops in the South Bay (not the big box stores) charge between $20-25 for labor.
$15 is a gift from the stringer. That's a pretty low hourly rate for a skilled service.
