How tacky is it to use Adidas and Nike products on the SAME day

From 0 to 10. 0 being classy and 10 being the tackiest being in the universe.

Like going to play tennis with adidas shoes and a nike shirt.

I'm generally in all Nike but I have a few of those "Grand Slam" tops that are really nice and not branded at all.

I do agree that having all the opposing logos looks weird. And I generally won't buy Adidas stuff.

I'm always in a mix of various brands and no-name stuff. Whatever is at hand and clean. If the colors somewhat go well together, fine. If not... ah well.

Today, I had Fila shoes and head band, Rebook shorts, Adidas shirt that's so old even the logo peeled off, Hilfiger socks and Columbia underwear.

I don’t care about shirts and shorts but I am a stickler for smartwool socks

Yeah I always mix. I do colour coordinate what I wear but I might wear a navy adidas shirt with navy nike shorts and random socks with Adidas shoes. Also my shirts have the big Adidas logo but you wouldn't know what brand my shorts were unless you were within a few meters of me.

Not that there's anything wrong with wearing one brand, I really couldn't care less about what anyone else is wearing on the court, I just don't care about other people like that but as a somewhat casual player I personally feel more 'tacky' when I wear all of one brand, like as if it looks like I think I'm a pro or something.

I used to rock my adidas Barricades w black Nike socks....

Now I rock those black Nike socks w Asics Gel Res 8..... sometimes I throw in the Air Jordan black half socks in the mix.....

I dont wanna go into the details about my shirt/shorts brand mixes, seems some people find that offensive nowadays.... (snowflakes)

Nike and adidas in the same day? Are you serious? Who would do that, that is as tacky as you can get! I mean, really? Do you have to ask? Would you wear a Red Sox hat and a Yankees jersey at the same time? Or a Real Madrid shirt and a Barcelona hat? I mean, do you have standards or class? Geez, unreal! WTH.

My issue is a adidas shirt and Nike shorts. Thanks for the levity today. Btw, I'm loyal to Adidas. I must admit, I'm starting to like the Lacoste items..

Just because you have the same brand shirt and shorts that pretentious? Not everyone is the same. lighten up for goodness sakes. sheesh
LOL - shirt, shorts, hat, shoes, socks, and probably underwear... Not talking about people just wearing a shirt and shorts. This thread is about walking billboards. Read the OP.

Even pros wear different brands; i.e. Djokovic wears Lacoste and Asics. Funny how wearing Adidas and Nike together looks "weird" just because they're the biggest sports brands out there... that being said I try to avoid wearing Nike and Adidas together LOL

Whatever is white. That's my club's only requirement.
Logos is irrelevant and a non-sponsored rec player playing in only one manufacturers gear is definitely more tacky than a guy just wearing what he likes. Clothing gear fanboys are the worst. It's T-shirt and shorts for heaven's sake. no one's walking down a Milan runway.

No longer have an all-white requirement. In more ways than one. Stuck with Adidas. Seems to hold up, wear better.

I actually try not to match either color or brand wise... i don't know how many times I see a guy wearing the latest nike kit with matching nike shoes with 9-pack bag and then proceed to play like a beginner...at least they are having interest in tennis and then hopefully work on their game!

all white is simply boring and pretentious. There is not logical reason to do it. White has a lot of undertones that I despise about tennis.

a very logical reason to wear white is to keep cooler during the hot, sunny days

The point is to make it a requirement is idiotic. I like wearing a white shirt and blue or black shorts. the color of shorts has never been a difference maker in the summer. Clubs that required this are pretentious and snobbish.

Not a big deal. NBA players are wearing Nike uniforms with whatever sneakers they are sponsored by. Nike swoosh on the jersey and shorts, Adidas shoes, Under Armour shoes etc.
It shouldn’t matter if anything we wear matches… unless you’re sponsored of course. Even then sponsored players don’t always match….

I have never counted the shoes. The shoes are more important than the shirt and shorts.

U're the only one who's uptight here!

sheesh again

U sure "SHEESH" a lot--maybe u need a good laxative or an enema. HA, HA, HA, :-D:-D:-D

U're a hater!

I laugh at them and that's all that matters to me!--u're irrelevant!:-D:-D:-D
