Huge news about Federer's racket!!!

are you actually going to be able to buy this racket?
I think it's pretty pointless talking about what rackets the pros use unless you can go out and buy it, or something similar at least.
even if you could buy the same racket as the pros, it might not be the right racket for you or it may not suit your style of play.

As of now we are talking about new Wilson "technology" ;)

I would assume a Wilson Rep meeting, but you never know. I know the fed racket is a signature 90, but he may use a 95 regardless, it depends on how he likes it. My Wilson Rep said the release date will be Late January, and the boxed beam 90 and 95 are confirmed :) . This is all I've got!

Heres what the description of the photo with all the racquets says on @WilsonTennis Twitter (weird how they would delete a link to the pic if it can be seen so easily on Twitter) :

"Preparing for our Wilson Ad Staff meeting at @uspta_tennis ...Respect the past, build for the future"

Looks like it was a Wilson employee meeting of some sort. Hopefully someone was able to write down the specs to share soon :)

To everyone asking for the link:

If you go to @WilsonTennis on twitter the last few tweets have been the links to the pictures.

The latest wilson tweet:

"Steve Huber showing some of our Wilson BLX tennis rackets to eager players! "

Are the specs of the 95 version known yet?? What are these I am very very curious. And is the tour 95 version the red one below the 90 tour federer version (the white frame shown before)?

I'm looking forward to seeing Federer next year with the Wilson BLX Pro Staff 95, I wonder if his game will improve with more power, spin, and less miss hits. Maybe a mid plus is what he needs to win a few more slams.

What makes you think Federer will switch to the 95? Why would Wilson continue to make the 90 if Federer was not going to use it?

Hi Rusty, could you list them again? I do not see them but I am very curious about the specs of the tour 95 version!

Sure can do:)

Wilson Pro Staff Six One 95 BLX
Headsize: 95 sq. inch
pattern: 16/19
beam width: 17 mm box beam
weight: 319 grams unstrung

Sorry if I missed this - but are these actual / confirmed specs, or just what you'd like to see come out? I saw your previous post and it wasn't clear from it.

Those specs are identical (minus head size) to the current Asian BLX90 - which I play with. So the above specs would be just right for me :)

Do you think the Tour 90 model will disappear when Federer retires?
Not if another up and coming pro starts using it. Or a pro like Dimitrov can use something similar but with the paintjob of the Tour 90. Otherwise, it might just go away. :(

Thanks for those specs, Rusty! You wouldn't happen to know the unstrung or strung balance, would you? :)

Ok, cool. So we're onto the 30th page of the thread called huge news about Federer's racquet and so far there has been no news about any new Federer racquet. Just news about the new paint job on his frame - which any muppet could have predicted was coming given he's been on the BLX paint-job for about 2 years now (or will have been come January).

Besides the new paintjob for the tour 90 there will be a 95 and 100 si tour model with a thin boxbeam, apart from the current 95 sixone models; that is what the guys in my proshop told me after a Wilson meeting.
That's news...

Oh ok but no hardcore proof that fed is even switching?

No not at all.
The guys from the shop just explained the new tour line they had seen at a Wilson meeting, that is all, but there will be several head sizes instead of 90 only is what they said a d had seen.
