If Fed wins 2009 US Open. . . ?

If Fed wins 2009 US Open, will 2009 go down as his finest year?

1. Won the French Open.
2. Won slams on three different surfaces (i.e. hard, clay, and grass)
3. Came within one set of winning the true Grand Slam.

Though several years have been extremely good also, I say yes.

If Federer wins then Federer now has 16 titles. I'd be really happy if Federer won but also wouldn't mind if Del Porto won also, both are very good players. I bet Federer really wanted a calender slam to add to his achievements.

Fed has been great this year, but not quite as good as some of his other years....

+1, in achievements, a TMF victory might seal that one.
His quality of play is better than 2008, but not better than any of 2004-2007. Not even close to 2004-2006.

With his records and overall achievements, probably. But he isn't playing as well as 05-06, and his Masters results also aren't as good.

I'd say 07 was a good year for Federer also

I would say 2006 is still his best year, 3 slams, 4 MS titles, the TMC, and reached the final in every tourney he participated in other than one.
