What produces more spin FOR YOU, lower tension or higher tension?

My question is.....
If i string my racket at 7 pounds lower tension than usual ( with natural gut) , will I be able to get away with not hitting through the ball as much?, like in ping pong where you can just use all wrist to create a bunch of spin or like Nadal does, just using a lot of wrist to create spin on his forehand.

Maybe it would have to be more than 7 lbs decrease............

No because if your racket's swingweight is to high, your wrist can't acclerate fast enough, so strings wouldn't matter.

If you really want to play like that get a O3 Silver.

you would need a racquet, that weighed under 9 ounces, and be really REALLY headlight inorder to do pingpong strokes not to mention its not possible.

He said ping-pong "like" strokes. McEnroe has similar strokes to this: flat with short take backs. His ol' woodie weight well into the 12 ounce range.

I've heard McEnroe strung his racquets in the high 30's, but I've also heard ~45. Perhaps one is wood the other graphite.

I would disagree with the above posters wholeheartedly. The looser the strings, the shorter backswing requirement you would have.

Pounds.

I always thought it was 35-38 lb. for Big Mac. I didn't think he ever went over 40, especially once he started using the Max 200g.
