If Novak wins USO15, I will_______

Be pissed that he didn't win the French and be the first to complete a calendar slam since Laver. Still bewildered he lost that French final. This was his year to do it.

but if Novak wins USO15, I will be upset that the era of the Big Four is officially over.

Rafa needs to win something big to gain his relevancy back. I'd like to see him end the year at least no.5

There is no big 4. Murray is a BUM and multiple slams behind the other 3. You add Murray as apart of the big 4 then you may as include wawrinka in there since he has the same number of slams and more impressive wins in the slams than Murray

Not be surprised. Look at the field... who can really beat him? An on form Stan maybe, but he is too inconsistent to rely on.

Stan Beat him in 2 of the last 3 GS meetings. Grass is not his surface, anyone with any tennis sense should know this; the surfaces DOES NOT suit his grips/strokes. Where as AUSSIE and Clay both do.
Novak is running the HC scene right now because his defense is too good, his strokes are too strong/consistent, his serves are immaculate. It's going to take someone with a great DTL backhand to beat him. Just like when stan did, and just like nishikori did. He defends high percentage shots too well to beat easily. So an opponent is going to have to make a high percentage of low percentage shots. And that goes beyond just down the line forehand. Gasguet gave him a fit, even with a very lack luster forehand.

Yes, Djokovic likes a high bounce because it suits his rather extreme grips. That's what I really hate with Federer: He tends to hit way too much topspin against Djokovic on grass. That gives a higher bounce for Djokovic. Rather, Fed should hit flatter FHs like in his peak and use that slice BH more to draw weak balls from Djokovic. I was not annoyed that much that he lost to Djokovic, but I was MAD that he yet again used the wrong gameplan!

Be surprised as he has a very negative record in finals there for a reason. Every year he loses to a different player there since 2012. It's not like the AO and Wimbledon where he has positive records in finals.

What kind of knucklehead must you be to call Murray a bum? The guy is an incredible tennis player who has had a brilliant career. He's one of the top 25 players of all time and would have 5-6 majors but has been up against the THREE greatest players of all time. Such a classless thing to say.

Does that mean Safin is a BUM too?

... be happy enough that he is now fulfilling his potential in an era where the big four is history and only a maverick or a newcomer can beat him.

Murray is a part of Big 4, it's confirmed by the other 3 members.

Murray has 2 tittles but he has more finals, semi-finals, MS1000... the gap between him and Nole is narrower than Nole and Roger.

Wawrinka's victories in the finals are definitely Not impressive than Murray. He beats injured Rafa in 1 final and beats exhausted Nole, who had less than 24 hours to relax after the semi, in the other.

Andy Murray = Lleyton Hewitt

Federer actually struggled a bit more with Hewitt on grass. At least in comparison to this year. He took a set off him in 2004 and to a tiebreak in 2005.

Well, ONLY in comparison to this year. Hewitt never beat Federer on grass like Murray did in the 2012 Olympic final!

Yes he did..

He's beaten him in Halle. You can't say he hasn't beaten him on grass..

Sorry, I forgot about that. He also beat pre-prime Fed at s'Hertogenbosch. But Murray actually beat him at Wimbledon in the Olympic final and took a set off him in the 2012 Wimbledon final.

Let's call it a draw! :D

I can agree with a draw.

But don't forget Hewitt took a set from Federer in their 2004 QF in a losing effort.

I think he has a good shot at USO, it seems to play quicker and lower than other HC's. I really can't complain about fed's game plan. I guess if he had flattened out and attacked CC to novaks forehand that would have worked, but I'm not the guy playing for his 8th wimbledon title. I just would have expected with a coach in his corner to keep him from coming out flat footed. For years in big matches he comes out kind of flat after a pause, whether rain etc etc. Nadal, Novak etc he's always come back slow from breaks. Would have expected more with Stefan behind him. Would have liked to see some crazy aggressive S&V or something.

The first tiebreak was just like a lul in fed's game. The whole first set after fed's break was kind of lack luster. But he stuck in it tough in the second. Real tough. He definitely proved that he still has the game. But I think he has it in the back of his mind the match is virtually over at 2-1 sets. Can't blame him. Novak could out survive a cockroach.

Have a meal, get some sleep, wake up, have another couple of meals and then go to the gym to do a heavy leg session, that I do every Monday. Nothing changes in my life, whether Novak wins or loses.

not lose any sleep over his third grand slam win this season.

And feel a little bit more bored by the current state of the tour.

Hewitt has 6 GS finals and ~ double-digit MS1000?

No!
