If Zverev gets into the final he will be nigh impossible to beat

Just think how much pressure Djokovic will have on his shoulders. He will have to beat a guy that promised to donate the winning prize for charity. It will require for Nole to become a monster that has no love for human live and we all know how much he wants to be loved.
Djokovic has to choose between keeping his Goat dream alive and becoming Satan in the process or sacrificing himself for the greater good of humanity.

Nope. You are just trying to belittle Djokovic ofc. He already donated alone and at the ATP Cup with other players, so stop with this cr*p.
And if he meets a guy who is into not only his first semifinal of a slam, but final too, he will have huge mental advantage and less pressure as a 7 time AO champion.

Zverev is dangerous! He has been playing really good tennis and low key this tournament until now. Very impressed how he came back vs Wawrinka after that first set beatdown

Philanthropic Sascha is indeed a worthy opponent. It seems he needed something special to trigger his true abilities.

If Z makes it he will be full of nerves in his first slam final. Dominic has been there a couple times and will probably hold it together better.
Even though Dominic has better achievements so far and better fitness, I do think Z’s peak potential is greater than his.

Finally a decent thread from a new user, employing sarcasm and broad strokes of humor. Well done!

Djokovic will beat him and donate the prize as well

This. I think for PR purposes Novak will have a lot of pressure to donate the prize money as Zverev would. And let's not beat around the bush he has a lot more capital to work with than Zverev. Obviously he doesn't have to give up 4 million but an agent could argue with his status he could make that back in added publicity for doing so.

I think either of them could be tough to beat. Neither has too much of a match up problem with Novak, they've both beaten him more than once before. The question is whether they can handle the stage of a grand slam final, and whether they can handle him where he is king of the castle in conditions that could not be more tailor made for him. Zverev can rally with him all day and all night, and Thiem can hit through him like Stan does.

I think Sascha has a chance to win if he keeps playing well. I think this tournament is the best he has ever played. His mental state seems to have improved dramatically. He looks like a completely different player from the ATP Cup.

Novak gets a cold and Fed beats him, in fact anyone left in the draw beats him.

Saying all that Zverev playing at his absolute best will win this tournament. Can he bring it when it counts, that’s the question!?

Sorry to disappoint you, but Zverev will play Federer in the final. And will win
Hey I love Federer too. But, please, he is at 60 to 70%. He knows he was lucky to get past Sandgren. Federer is a class act and didn’t wanna go out to a non seeded one, but Djokovik...nahhh it won’t happen.
