USO 2001 QF Sampras vs Agassi was a bit better IMO.

It's definitely right up there. The 1st set was probably the highest quality of tennis I've ever seen.

the middle two sets were not great. I agree, Sampras-Agassi was better. Federer-Roddick 04 Wimby might be better too.

None of those matches deserve to be in the running, even the best of them e.g. Wimbledon 2012 final.

Obviously not at FO 2011 or USO 2001 level, but something that had ebbs and flows and the winner was uncertain till the last point. More of a 'honorable mention'.

There wasn't really any ebb and flow in the 2012 Wimbledon SF. The others did have drama but there are better 4 set matches, USO 2010 F was the best of the 3 encounters Nadalovic had there.

not true at all. 96 Hanover final, 1980 Wimby and US finals. 1988 WTF, Becker-Lendl at the 92 USO. 1981 Wimby final which should be another match considered for best 4 set match. Sampras-Corretja at the 96 USO for pure drama alone. Sampras-Courier 95 AO was good as was Sampras-Agassi at the 93 Wimby. 95 USO Agassi-Becker was another high quality 4 setter with tons of drama as anyone who has read Agassi's book will know after the 95 Wimby semi.
