Was he referring to Wimbledon 1973 where a bunch of top players skipped the event?

Maybe Signor Binaghi should read these comments about Fed's favourite Masters events: ;)

"As for his favourite Masters 1000 city, he has choosen Rome and Shanghai, and it´s not a surprise: he has never hidden his love for the Italian event and especially for the Italian food. The fact that he thinks Rome is the Masters 1000 of the year along with Shanghai, despite he has never won in four finals played there in 2003, 2006, 2013 and 2015, may be a strong motivation for him to play in Italy this year as well. We will know it only after Miami event when he will release his schedule for the clay season."

Can't blame the guy for feeling nonplussed about Fed if that is in fact the case. Fed's the top draw in tennis by a large margin and so far this year he has been the key storyline in the tennis world. Not to have him in your tournament almost makes your tournament seem a bit irrelevant. This is not true, of course, but it will be important for players like Stan, Novak, Murray, Zverev, Kyrgios, Nishi and of course Nadal to go deep and have some exciting matchups for these tournaments to be worth watching. Not to take anything away from tournaments where someone like Isner winds up winning, but I find those to be kind of boring.

Millennials know like nine words. If reality stars aren't retweeting it, it isn't language.

QFT, SMH, IKR, salty, and 6 other words millennials know.

Amazing that the Gen Y think that their overuse of acronyms make them smarter than Gen Xers who actually enunciate real words and aren't on Snapchat 24/7.

Itallian media wrote that he said that Federer won't show to play because he knows he can't win Rome. It's silly and disrespectful statement.
I don't think that tournament organizers , CEOs, should identify themselves as fans of particular player/s but sport.

i would never like the rome tournament to move (wich there are discussions of) but this guy is trying his best to make that happen, as the above poster said, its not a good idea for a CEO or Spokeperson to take sides
