Pliskova is really not good. All serve and nothing else. just like Karlovic
How does a player with "all serve and nothing else" generate 23 BPs in a 3-set match?

She had break points in 14 of Cibulkova's 18 service games

Just for grins, I looked up what's the most BPs Karlovic got in a match, ever... And it was 15, against Bjorkman (2007 RG). That was over a five set match

She actually makes it look easy at times. Effortless power, good groundstrokes (especially FH), probably the best serve on the WTA. Movement and consistency can be a weakness at times. Karlovic is a weird comparison. Dr. Ivo is mostly a serve and volleyer, and net player. He is weaker from the baseline.

When you say she' really not good it pretty much destroys your credibility, though I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you're just trolling as usual. She's #3 in the world. You are like the people who stated Errani stunk when she got up to #5 in the world and that they could beat her in a match.

I got so mad that I could not sleep. 52% 1st serve and passive indecisive game.
Congrats to Kuznetsova. She deserved to win.

Kristyna opens Miami on Grandstand against Minella in about 2.5 hours.

Kristyna's is on her left forearm (you can see part of it in the pic), Karolina's is on her left upper arm. Karolina also has one on her left thigh.

Karolina is on her way to the second Premier Mandatory title after Cincinnati 2016. The path is relatively easier this time. She needs to beat Wozniacki today in Miami and then Venus or Konta in the final. Let's see if she is serious about being No1. If she can't, it may get harder following years.

Karolina looked sharp early in the first set but there's a lot of Sewretch seeping into her game with some Spray City shots. This is not the Pliskova easy feeling I was expecting.

She doesn't like playing in hot weather for some reason and playing against Woz is never easy. Once the first serves start falling in, easy feeling will be back.
I also don't understand why she never plays serve/volley. She is an excellent doubles player.

Woz gifted that first set. Maybe she settles in now with the lead.

This was fugly!

Happy for Woz...her first ever Miami final. If she plays this well Saturday she has a great chance to win.

Question is Was Pliskova injured ?? how was she getting 2 breaksticks by Caroline ? I know Carol was very hot today and playing well but 6-1 6-1 don't make sense

Makes sense when the serve deserts you, you err wildly (esp on FH), all the while the opponent is as solid as a rock.

I didn't catch absolutely everything but I think the above is a relatively fair anatomy of the loss.

I will be curious to see how Karolina does on clay this year. She has been in a new phase since Cincy, and I wonder if her results there will improve markedly, like Keys's did last year.

I am giving up on Karolina and will be rooting for Svitolina until Petra comes back to form. Very dissapointed in her in 2017. Kerber is knocked out and there's no dominant player yet Ka. loses every 1/8 or 1/4 match.

Won Brisbane, Australian Open QF, Won Doha, SF Indian Wells, SF Miami, QF Stuttgart.

Out of form of late but Pliskova has never been good on clay. To say you're disappointed in her 2017 is hilarious. Her 2017 has been fantastic. She wouldn't be number 1 in the Race to Singapore if she was having a bad year...
