Laver Cup was already around so it doesn't make a difference I'm afraid

No need to be that cocky. As if you don't say stupid things yourself.
LC is in the news today, so maybe your views will go up.Laver Cup was already around so it doesn't make a difference I'm afraid
do they provide chairs as well ?The difference I've gathered so far is that the ATP will now offer marketing and promotional help, along with providing chair umpires and trainers.
It's just for fun and a money grab. I see it as a win for Fed over his haters during these "political" times.do they provide chairs as well ?
(could be another trick/request from the mallorcan mafia)
anyway, still a useless exo... but an official one now.

Too many complainers on this board. Seriously, find something to be happy about. I am glad that the ATP has more or less legitimized the cup. That provides longevity and a "tournament" where professional tennis players can take a week to just enjoy playing without having the constant distraction of the professional tennis life. I for one like to see the more human side of professional athletes and I believe that is what this cup promotes.
Weak Fans determined to make mountains out of thin air to whine about a nothingness that they're too dim to comprehend.Fedr determined to destroy tennis before he leaves
So what's the difference between an ATP event that doesn't award ranking points and an exho?
well novak as president of atp supports this, or is proud to support anyways based on the quote i read.
I'm strong minded.[

Making Abu Dhabi a 250 isn't that terrible an idea, because it's been treated like a low-level ATP event. Is this the only exo to be made an ATP event? I thought the Abu Dhabi one was too, but just read it's not.
Novak is not a president of the ATP, lol
It isn't an "ATP tour competition" it's an ATP event. The ATP will help promote it but nothing else. The Laver Cup is supposed to be a celebration/exhibition. Not a mothertrucking ATP tour competition.

I don't get the uproar either. The ONLY thing that's happened is somewhere the ATP will list it as an actual event and will promote it on their website. That's it.their fav is proud to support it as well. idk why people are so up in arms about this, they see federer and thinks he controls the entirety of atp, yet funny enough he was the one who had to do some of the most adjusting. controls the atp but still surfaces continue to slow down and there is no grass masters. clearly working against his own self interest.
So winners will get ATP ranking points for this?
Really? A team competition?
Really?
I disagree. To think they stopped awarding ranking points to the far more prestigious Davis Cup and Olympics. But hey, anything for Federer, no?
I disagree.
Laver Cup has surpassed Davis Cup and Tennis in the Olympic.
No I'm not. You've got to be joking.
I've always said that LC is basically for Nick. This is terrible news, if the ATP gets involved it's just another opportunity for giant slayer Nick to get fined/suspended.
And if ranking points are at stake Nick will tank!
No I'm not.
I know this is shocking to you since Laver Cup has grown in stature is such a short period of time. Such as life.
Lol....it's not grown THAT much. They've only had 2 editions and most people think it's just a fun exho.
As one of the better posters on here I know I can say this to you and you'll actually understand it - no they're not giving ranking points to the laver cup. They just put it on their schedule to help promote it. Nothing else changed. To think they stopped awarding ranking points to the far more prestigious Davis Cup and Olympics. But hey, anything for Federer, no?
Davis Cup and Olympic are fun too.Lol....it's not grown THAT much. They've only had 2 editions and most people think it's just a fun exho.
The fact is players take seriously when playing Laver Cup.

You don't see what happened there do you? Fed couldn't afford to pay his best friend to play Laver Cup lol. Next thing you hear is that the ATP and LC join forces. Think about it young fella and get back to me.Yeah is that why Wawrinka decided to play in a Russian ATP 250 event than this?
This is just an exhibition and exhibitions get attention anyway if big stars are going to play in it (plus the truckload of cash going their way) but it will never be more important than even an ATP 250 event for a tennis player's career.

You're either gullible or playing dumb. Either way I don't have patience with posters like you that feel like you need to give Nadal an excuse for losing once upon a time at the FO. It's legit because Nadal said so right? Give me a break. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see what happened here with Stan and Fed.Bro what you on about, my man speaking in riddles on a tennis forum
