I went by the facility yesterday. Something about it made me feel sad I thik it is because of the lack of real success recently and how some people know think Texas should be TCU or something.

You should feel sad knowing that the facility is going to be torn down to make way for the med school, that sucks !

I will be in town for the football game this Saturday(aka Mack's swan song). I will be meeting with someone close to the men's tennis program. We will discuss it, no holds barred. I will let you guys know what comes out in that meeting here Sunday.

Looks like Mack is going to stick around a little longer...so what did you find out ?

I found out that the team is bonding better this year then last. Goldhoff and Berkowitz are a big lift to the team

although I was floored to see Berkowicz lose to easy to the UGA player.

UVA, UCLA and USC are hogging all the talent. That's where your and every othe college tennis teams bench is. You should know that. That's the way it is. Better do it with your best 6. Bench won't win you anything.

By bench I meant Center and the coaching staff. I'm not sure why we hired a former UNC nobody to be the volunteer assistant. Oh well.

I'll support this team if they do well.

Baylor appears loaded, with their #3 (#4?) player taking the Texas regional today. Texas looks good, and frankly I'm surprised Glasspool fell to Vinsant. Glasspool has looked very good in the early going. Winning the doubles title with Soren is a nice consolation.

Maybe. Their #1 guy lost to a freshman in Birmingham this weekend. Says something depending on how you look at it.

Pradella lost to Jarryd Woog Memphis freshman 7-6 in the 3rd. That's for everyone who was confused by andfor's useless post.

And this thread isn't about Baylor.

Listen here king Louis. I come to this forum for college tennis first before anywhere else. It annoys me to no end when you and others on here use code language instead of players names. I have a major issue with it.

Alex is a great guy, extremely passionate about tennis, and was a great team guy at UNC. Yeah, he wasn't a college standout and didn't play in their line-up. But, he still plays at a good level and loves college tennis. I also forgot that you being a great coach requires you to have previously been an amazing player. SMDH

Saw where Berkowicz won the Longhorn A draw. Beat Tyler JC's Mate Cutera in the finals (6-7[4], 6-3, 6-1) .

Cutera beat Goldhoff 7-6, 7-6 in the semis.

Yep sure it's wrong. Boland and Tiley would like to agree with you...maybe top end 4.0 ntrp players who took two programs from obscurity to a national title. UCLA new assistant also played on their club team. Brad Stevens at Butler hoops a high school level player and manager, Belichick with a couple of rings in the NFL. Yeah man, being a great coach surely requires you to have been an all-star player. Too good

Center fails again. I was hearing whispers that Papa was assuredly going to be a Longhorn and now I see he's going to Tulsa? This is getting ridiculous.

Come on. Papa is from Oklahoma City, been injured over the lat year (no inside knowledge of the injury), and I'm willing to bet Tulsa gave him a better scholarship. This is not near the loss for Center you imagine it to be. Now if Papa signed with another Texas school, I would not disagree.

Papa is from Edmond, and he has close family ties, members of his family always traveled with him, no surprise he chose and Oklahoma school...surprised he didn't choose Okalhoma, but well, take a guess why.

Anyway, looking forward to see how this current Texas squad will do.

Rice gave LSU everything they could handle today and was in winning position before Simpson fought back. The Longhorns demolished that same Rice team. This is looking like a top 10 team.

BOOOM! Take that Vandy Candy . That was too easy. Goldhoff is a real player, do you see this Harrison Adams? You could have been part of a real team instead of that collection of guys with tennis rackets in that backwater town.
