Apparently, Maria hit another growth spurt recently (heard it from Tracy Austin tonight). She now stands 6 feet, 2 inches. Her presence on the field will be even more intimidating for the years to come

That's definately going to help her on the serves, it'll make it a lot easier for her to get them in. But, I wonder how she'll adjust to the new lengths of all her body parts. Most people get a bit clumsy.

If what I saw on The Tennis Channel is any indication, it seems she's doing everything professionally possible to increase her agility, growth spurt or not.

I met her at the Advanta Championships last November and it seemed to me, back then, that she was over 6' tall. In person, she is also far broader in the shoulders than she appears on television which is strange because usually tv makes one appear larger. She's a real amazon.

She's gonna have to say goodbye to a future acting career. I mean how are you gonna cast a 6'2" (or possibly 6'4") leading actress?

I think it will be awkward at first and will need some getting used to in all parts. I don't see it as being noticeably detrimental though.
