I'm thinking about trying Magic Twist because of its thicker gauge. How does it play for you? How does it compare to the others?You guys are getting me excited for Tour Hex. I haven't had a chance to hit with it yet but I do like Magic Twist. That's been my favorite of the 3 I've played with among Magic Twist, Hit Pro and Big Spin. I got a sample pack from the Mayami rep here. Sadly he was banned

I wonder if what I am feeling of the "string movement" is really just my transition from my old dense 18X20 racquet to my new open16X18 frame. When I was done hitting, the strings were not that far out of place really. Something to ruminate on.
What tension do you use for the Tour Hex?

Magic Twist had the best comfort and ball pocketing of those 3. MT really plays similar to Yonex Poly Tour Pro.

I've only tried it in a full bed and didn't notice inconsistent launch angles but it was a bit too soft for my taste. That will be the last time I ever try to string Big Spin as a full bed though, the last few crosses tend to twist severely. In my opinion its a string that beds to be used in a hybrid.

I’ve used it in the mains with round cross. Didn’t notice any inconsistent response. The crosses move a lot though.

I've play with Hit Pro. It really didn't do anything for me. Not as good as Magic Twist.

How does the tour hex compare to lynx edge? Edge is 1.25 and tour hex is either 1.28 or 1.23, but play wise.

Tried 1.30 hit pro and soon might try 1.25 version. One of the best round poly i playtested in a while.. but competition is strong in a round World i must admit... you need to like round profiles and what they can really offer to like hit pro... its Just tricky and it takes a bit more time to find the rhythm but in some cases it is worth it.

Lynx Edge was my string of choice last year before moving on to Lynx Tour and HGS before now settling on Tour Hex. Lynx Edge is a great string but ended up being to a bit to soft for my liking, and on the flip side Lynx Tour was a bit to stiff. As far as HGS goes, it was also too stiff and not enough ball pocketing. I tended to get a lot of spin from Lynx edge but just not enough control. I think that is why I like Tour Hex so much because it is the perfect middle for me between Lynx Edge and Lynx tour. It has the great spin and pocketing like Lynx Edge but has the precision and control of Lynx Tour. Honestly when I first played Tour Hex, it reminded me of Edge but just has so much more control.

Never used it in full bed, I usually don’t do shaped strings full bed, always with a round or twisted/rough cross.

I'm beginning to wonder if Tour Hex is not a good fit for my Prince Textreme Tour 100 (310) 16X18. I loved the way that the string plays (I have it at 52 lbs) but it kind of has a "stringy, unstable" feel at contact. Sort of feels like the strings are moving at contact or something. Darnit! Maybe Tour Hex is a better string for smaller frames ???
On the other racquet I have the "Big Twist" hybrid : 52 lbs. Big Spin mains and 48 lbs. Magic Twist crosses; I did not get as much of the biting feeling on the ball that I had with Tour Hex. Next I think that I will try to lower the tension; 50 or 48 Big Spin mains and 46 or 44 lbs Magic Twist crosses and see if I can get some better feel / pocketing.

I know the felling that you are referring to, and typically with softer polys that is a bad thing, but for some reason with Tour Hex because it is more of a medium stiffness, it doesn't cause any issues with control and feel. With the softer polys, when you get that feeling the ball tends to spray or launch, not with Tour Hex though. I can't say for sure that this this string is made for smaller head sizes, being that I play with the G360+ PP which is a 95in head it is a perfect fit. These smaller head control racquets beg for a string that pockets well, but maintains control, which is exactly what Tour Hex does.

I'll second @topspn rubber band damper across the middle four strings suggestion. Yeah, they are kinda 'pingy' in my Radical MP but it is a nice pairing on the court.
Interesting that you feel more of a "bite" with Tour Hex and than Big Twist. At least to me Magic Twist feels a little stiffer. I would suggest trying a six pound differential instead of two.

So maybe I will try Big Spin at 50 and Magic Twist at 44 lbs next time and see how that feels.

Comfort: 7.5/10 (no break in time needed, but overall not overly stiff)
Stringbed Consistency: 6.5/10 (if I hit a shot a certain way, the next ball I hit that way may perform differently)
But overall, a very fun hit!

In what racquet did you test it? I think it plays very consistent and Babolat is a last word that comes to my mind with this string. I would say something like „prestige hug”
After a three-month lockdown, outdoor courts have opened last Monday, so I played about 6 hours with Big Twist (the racquet had been strung in November and I had already played 2.5 hours with it before the lockdown). It still felt very solid and offered good control, which enabled me to play aggressively. The mix of control, power and spin was good. Nevertheless, it didn’t grab/bite the ball as well as Big Spin fb and I had to do more work to get a high launch angle (of course, a lot of people don’t like to have a high launch angle, but I do). With Big Spin fb, it’s almost effortless to create a high launch angle. Next time - following @LocNetMonster's suggestion - I’ll try a higher differential between mains and crosses (five or six pounds instead of three), and see if this will help to get more grip and a higher launch angle.

Had my two TC97 strung with Magic Twist and Hit Pro to compare both strings side to side. I played yesterday 1h30 with Hit Pro and though I lacked some bite (coming from Confidential) I found the string quite powerful, very confortable. It's a more muted than Confidential which has a raw feeling. Overall pretty satisfied with Hit Pro which I'm sure make a great string for main.
This morning I played with Magic Twist. Not big fan of the feel. I found the string to be launchy and slightly unpredictable. Again it lacks some bite compared to Confidential. First impression is a bit disappointing. Will see if I like it more in the coming days.

in tc97 I would try big spin 1.30 or hit pro 1.30 or hex tour 1.23 if you are used to thinner gauges after all but want control of something like 1.30 style gauge.
Magic Twist 1.25 was least favourite in my angells. Haven't hit with 1.25 hit pro but 1.30 also was lacking the bite (however offered much more feel and height control so depends what kind of player you are) Tour Hex is something between Big Spin and Hit Pro. More spin than hit pro, more consistent response on volleys than big spin. Hard to say which one is my favourite... Big Spin 1.30 is most addictive but Hit Pro feels more "honest". Tour Hex is a middle man so in theory should be the best but at the same time I keep going back in my mind to those 2 "reference" strings... If you have access to 1.28 Tour Hex that could be interesting as well !
If you are looking for a string most similar to Solinco Confidential then from Mayami Tour Hex is most "similar".

I started out using Big Spin with Magic Twist crosses, fell head over heals for the combo and called it Big Twist. No problems whatsoever. Tried it with Prince XC. No problem. Toroline's Caviar? Not a problem (other than I strung it too tight). Tier One's Strike Force RIP. Good stuff, Maynard. Currently hitting with Big Spin mains and Lux 4G crosses. I'm going to need to see addiction therapist after this one breaks. I've also crossed it with a couple of multis and sgut. The launch I get is what I would expect from the contact I make.

I've been eyeing their magic twist but have yet pull the trigger and I'm working through my current stash of strings. Is there a link or do we just email him?
I've supplied some of the Mayami strings to my stringing customers and everyone was pretty positive, especially the Tour Hex. I've currently got an agreement with Solinco (mainly for Hyper G soft) but if Mayami keep growing and getting their name out there, I would seriously consider switching.
They've already signed up one big club in Melbourne with a few good players as well.

I placed an order for Tour Hex after seeing all the positive feedback. I’ve been playing with Luxilon Smart but it don’t like its durability. I also have VS Touch/RPM Blast on my other racquet. Looking for more control. Currently playing with Clash 100. Any recommendations on tension with this racquet. I’ve always heard that it does better at lower tensions. Thanks and I’ll provide my feedback once I can test it.
I'd say around 48lbs. I found on the clash 100 anything too high it gets a bit 'board' like, but if you go too low, you can loose some control.
I tried Big Spin mains with Ghostwire crosses strung at 48 lbs, same as I string Firewire Boost. My first session was a clinic and my initial reaction was meh. It was very comfortable, but didn't seem like anything special or anywhere near what I get from Firewire. Then I used it for a set in a match and felt better about it. After 4 sets in 4 different matches, I feel better with it everytime. In each match I have used Big Spin for one set and Firewire for one set, alternating which one I start with. I didn't think I'd like anything more than Firewire, but I think Big Spin is more comfortable and more predictable. I'm not 100% ready to switch yet, but I'm leaning that way. Next up I'm going to try the Big Twist hybrid.

Where did you find the Tour Hex 1.28 ? On Mayami's website they only have 1.23 available and it says 1.28 is sold out. I really like TH but I think the 1.28 might be better for my particular type frame. I want to compare the two gauges, at any rate. I have looked on E b a y and Amazon but no luck there either.

My experience is limited to Head MLT, NXT, Prince Premiere and YTex's MicroFiber-X. Plays and frays like Wilson's NXT. More durable and power than MLT and MF-X. I played it with Magic Twist crosses and must have hit the Goldilocks tension when I strung it. After the initial tension loss it played the same every day - even as the string frayed - until they broke. For me, the comfort and feedback is like playing with natural gut. No distinct difference in the ball path side by side with a natty gut main and Mayami's multi mains or feel for touch shots.
