old and tired, if there's anything this board specializes in it's driving these things into the ground...new material needed

in other words, finish the finnish

Nawww, it's good stuff. Some things never get old. Finnish is like a Dorian Gray of internet jokes.

Great FH FTL to finish off the set. First set stats, Nadal playing aggressive and started to hit his FH better after breaking Gasquet.

Gasquet was playing good aswell but Nadal's FH was clutch at times.

this is a new strategy implemented by Tio Toni to test Nadal's limits by allowing someone to break early in the game then naturally allowing Nadal's game and FH to click when he's backed into a corner.

Gotta love classic Rafa

No way in hell Rafa is beating Fed

Did anyone really expect Nadal to beat Fed tho? Federer is strong indoors, home turf, Nadal in decline, bad surface for Nadal. Everything is going against him. If he manages to beat Federer with this run of players he's had to beat. I would be impressed

Sky commentators rambling on about how second serves were so much better back in the day.. Maybe Isner's is somewhat decent though but he "hasn't won big titles".

I'm skeptical. Service games % won have gone up with the years, probably in large part because of stronger second serves I would think.

Every time nadal hits one of those boomerang forehands its a jizzfest all round

Yes, he does tend to spray it a bit;)

I hope the pressure of being expected to win against his long time foe doesn't get to fed

If the Federer from yesterday shows up then Rafa will serve bakery products. On the otherhand, if Federer has a very good serve day then we'll have a cracking match.
Because Nadal is a world beater himself right now yeah?
