ND at Georgia is getting the attention but I don’t think that will be as close as Michigan at Wisconsin or Auburn at Texas A&M.

I also like @Mike Bulgakov ‘s Cal-Berkeley Bears invading Dixie to play Ole Miss in Oxford. The ranked team is Cal (#23), who already has an impressive road win in Seattle vs Washington and their portal transfer QB from Georgia Jacob Eason.

Cal has a strong defense and decent running game, but is very shaky at quarterback. If they get down in a game, they will have trouble chasing points.

Ole Miss QB has not Corral-ed the Manning mystique yet. This should be low scoring with HFA making The Rebels a -2.5 point favorite but the O/U at a scant 41 total.

Joe Burrow is lighting up the LSU scoreboard again today! As he starts their first possession of the third quarter, he has 372 yards and 5 TD passes. LSU 45, Vandy 24.

Texas vs OK State is a good one to watch in between series in Athens. I think UGA will wear ND down the rest of the way. Book is telegraphing throws now to their TE and one of them is going to get picked.

Absolutely the craziest game I have ever seen...Washington State was up 32 points over UCLA late in the third quarter but lose 67-63 despite their QB throwing nine TDs.

Texas Tech takes its turn feeling The Hurts today. OU 41-10 after the first series of the second half. The Bama portal transfer has 441 yards of total offense and 3 TD passes and 1 rushing TD for the fourth consecutive game.

Neither team was peaking but what a great game to watch as UNC stayed right with #1 Clemson only to lose on a failed 2-PAT, 21-20. Mack Brown’s return to Chapel Hill is a good thing for the ACC and I like his gamble FTW but the play called was horrible. His kicker also made a perfect onside bunt kick that popped up in the air but his recovery team overran the muffed carom off the Clemson hands team player.

I know the 2 point conversion shows your team that it is going all out for the win but there was too much time left on the clock. Clemson was going to have time to drive for a field goal either way. Why not make them HAVE to get the field goal to avoid overtime versus risking us kneeling the game out? In a rarity,

I was out watching the game with a few other Clemson fans and we all were breathing a sigh of relief that the 2 point conversion was coming. None of us were confident we would get the stop too.

Like you said, we got a lucky bounce on the kick too. UNC will be back with Mack Brown, he's just such a good coach and recruiter.

We are going to get drop kicked in the AP poll. The coaches poll will hopefully be more kind.

Bama added on style points with Tua still playing and slinging a TD with 8 minutes left and up 28. OU rolled at home and Ohio State is thrashing Nebraska in Lincoln. Clemson caught a break with both Georgia and LSU idle. It’s probably Bama, Clemson, Georgia and then maybe Ohio State jumping to #4 but who cares? None of the top dogs are very tested next week with both Bama and Clemson idle, Georgia playing hapless Tennessee, LSU playing Utah State, Oklahoma vs Kansas. The closest to a hurdle is @Federer and Del Potro ’s Sparty going to Columbus. The big game is at The Swamp when Auburn visits The Gators. A rout either way there could push the winner into top 6.

MSU will get blown out lol

Ohio State is going to drag teams

Always has been the only team that everyone else doesnt want in the playoffs

Pretty sure they have started the equivalent of an NFL starting defensive backfield for like 8 years in a row now

Toss in Chase Young and even Alabama doesnt want to deal with what they dealt with in 2014

LOL at supposed national championship dreams for fraUdulentCF, now on a two-game losing skids to AFC North city universities Pittsburgh and Cincinnati. As often happens, a new coach inheriting a loaded program has a nice bounce for a year but Josh Heupel <<<Scott Frost and empty achieving dreamers will desert his sinking ship, especially after AD Danny White will have to scrap the pure home-and-home series arrangements he desires with top Power 5 teams instead of their more established potential opponents’ reasonable demand for a two-for-one arrangement. Another few embarrassing losses might bring him back to reality.

Best, as in most competitive, game of the day broke @Kevin T ’s blood pressure monitor as Va Tech squandered a 28-0 lead to Miami but rallied to a 42-35 win in Miami that wasn’t sealed until two passes in the end zone fell incomplete in the last 5 seconds.

The twin night games (Michigan State at OSU and Georgia at Tennessee) have had upset alert moments but form is now holding.

Auburn’s true freshman QB Nix got exposed in Gainesville as Florida pulled away in the fourth quarter in a game of big plays but few sustained drives.

LSU continues to roll. Next week they host Florida in a potentially nice matchup. Florida’s defense will need some of the same big plays they had today. Ohio State castoff QB Joe Burrow has been Heisman-like this season. Also big next week is the Red River Shootout in Dallas between OU and UT.

Being a kicker in college football... mental tornado. Movies could be made about the emotional strain they have. All of this comes down to one kick.

Ugh for UGA! Rodrigo kicks a blank in 2OT so Dawgs lose between the hedges for the first time since year 1 of the Smart era.

Jalen Hurts looked very human today in the first half with a couple of costly TOs but OU pulled away in the second half and then hung on for the 34-27 win over Texas.

Can FSU find anyone to sack, tackle and/or cover receivers???

Thx

They did OK against our 3rd stringers. I knew our guys were pissed off but it seemed like FSU was playing better the last few weeks. The FSU offensive line is awful, it doesn't matter how good the skill players are since they have no time.

LSU vs Florida is high quality viewing!

21-21 at the half. Quick strike Tigers, grinding Gators. Should be a dilly dilly second half!

LSU might be able to outscore everyone they play. Putting up 42 against that defense is scary good.
Florida tried to prove the best defense is a ball control offense but Joe Burrow & Co. were so efficient they scored nearly a point per snap (42 on 47 snaps). Florida, in contrast, had 83 snaps and possessed the ball for 16:38 more than LSU.

Burrow’s accuracy this year now hovers just below 80% after going 21/24 last night and he has a 25/3 TD/INT ratio. These numbers are up from 58% and 16/5 for the entire 2018 season. Much of the credit has to go to passing game coordinator Joe Brady, brought in from Sean Payton’s NFL staff with the Drew Brees led Saints offense. Brady brought with him more of a spread concept with RPO that Burrow knew from his days under Urban Meyer as a backup at OSU. They are also using the TE much more and converted one WR to that position. That’s getting more one-on-one coverage for the pair of young speedy WRs.

Saturday’s results as we reach the halfway pole narrows the Heisman race a bit with Fromm having his worst day ever, Jalen Hurts suffering some early TOs and Wisconsin RB Jonathan Taylor held to 80 yards. It’s Tua and Burrow with those others trailing and Trevor Lawrence now needing a Titanic Ronnie “Sunshine” Bass second half.

Trevor is out of that mix. He won't play many 2nd halves in the home stretch to help pad his humbers. LSU did bump Clemson down to #3 in the AP Poll. It really doesn't matter since they have to play Bama and the loser should drop below us. My biggest fear is a repeat of 2 years ago where we get the #1 seed and play a one loss LSU or Alabama team first. I'll take any other team in the country that first game and I think we are the favorite to make the final game again.

Don't worry about Clem's Son making the playoffs this year. After Louisville took down 19th ranked powerhouse Wake Forrest 62-59 yesterday, I'm looking for Louisville to take down Clem's Son by a similar score. Wishful thinking I know.

Actually Louisville is doing better than I thought this year. After firing loser Bobby Petrino last year, they are looking more like a real team. Should have beaten Florida State. Just have to get that defense playing a lot smarter.

Watch out for that final Thanksgiving weekend Palmetto Bowl! If USC plays as tough defense as they did Saturday they could be dangerous in Columbia.

That is almost certain to be our toughest game of the regular season and it is in Columbia.
Hard to peg yet who goes to Charlotte from the Coastal Division. Rematch with UNC is a possibility; Duke, UVA and Pitt are the other most probables.

At least a dozen mods in this photo that Cal should start at quarterback over Modster.

Kansas State is ahead of Oklahoma by 18 points as the third quarter winds down, 41-23. And driving again. A balanced attack with a mobile QB who calls his own number near the end zone (4 rushing TDs on 12 carries for 32 yards). Their RB is over 100 yards and nine receivers have caught passes.

The Auburn vs LSU game is tied 10-10 at the half and has featured a lot of highlights reel action. The LSU true freshman CB Derek Stingley Jr. made a great pick before halftime to keep it deadlocked. He is the grandson of the great Patriots WR Daryl Stingley, whose career was tragically cut short by a vicious hit in a preseason game in the 1970s. The hit by Raiders safety Jack Tatum left him paralyzed but he survived for 30 years after the blow. Under the existing rules at the time, no penalty was called because it was a shoulder pad to helmet collision but Stingley was in a defenseless position trying to make a catch of an overthrown pass.

LSU jumps to #1 after handling Auburn and enter their shared bye week with #2 Bama virtually locked to hold their top spots until their showdown in Tuscaloosa on November 9.

Ohio State is #3 and defending champion Clemson is #4. The other undefeated Power 5 conference members that can be there down the road are #5 Penn State, #12 Baylor and #13 Minnesota.

This seems designed to ensure both make the college playoff unless one team blows out the other.

More reason they need to expand to eight; a team as good as one of these will not win their conference division. Big 10 has two strong ones that might be in the same boat when they face off the week before Thanksgiving...Penn State visits Columbus and The Horseshoe.

I'd like to see 8 conferences with 16 teams each. Win your conference and you are in the playoffs. No polls necessary.
