Poll on final weekend:

1. LSU
2. 1-loss Bama (5 point loss at home to #1)
3. 2-loss Georgia (3 point loss at home to a fellow SEC team in double OT on a missed FG shouldn’t knock them out and losing to #1 in the SEC Championship won’t boot them either!)
4. 2-loss Florida (there’s no shame in losing to #1 and #3)

All-SEC playoffs!

I don't even know, saw they blew a 25 point lead. Had my eyes on the marquee games of the day. Terrible season. Time for wholesale changes of the coaching staff, maybe even Dantonio.

Been an abysmal year. They've got a good defense (usually) but absolutely no offense.

I liked the where the LSU cornerback was looking over at the sideline talking to the coaches for too long before the play and got burned for a long TD. Don't think I've seen that before. Burrow just took the #1 draft pick away from Tua last night.

4. Alabama (probably deserve it but #5 is Georgia whose only loss is on a missed FG)

#6 Oregon above trending #7 Minnesota proves losing one close game to a ranked team early (Week 1) trumps an undefeated Power 5 team.

If all of them win out in the regular season and the only championship weekend upset is Georgia edging LSU in the SEC Championship game, I can’t see a way for Bama to stay in the Top 4.

The Auburn Tigers are the key holders to the playoffs...they beat Oregon but have lost to both LSU and now Georgia. With Tua done for the year, this year’s Iron Bowl at Jordan-Hare in two weeks will be Bama’s slip or their hall slip into the playoff. A bad loss and they’re done; a narrow loss followed by Georgia being crushed by LSU and they’re possibly still alive; a big win and I’m almost certain the committee will bow to the Sabanic Majesty. Poor Oregon/Oklahoma will be left out and a backup named Mack Jones will repeat The Legend of Cardale Jones exploits.

It's interesting how the starting PSU QB gets hurt for a few plays but the offense finally starts working with the backup QB in, so he essentially got benched.

Yeah I think Clifford was hurt. But if not that was a terrible decision because the backup could not throw the ball.

Thought it was weird that the commentators gushed all over OSU. They were acting like they were in an absolute battle and fought through adversity to win...

They were at home and led by 21 and then won by 11 and it was only semi-close for like 3 minutes until it went back to an 11 point lead.

I think they will, Ohio State better play a cleaner game than they did today or they'll lose. OSU offense was very disappointing today, left way too many pts on the board as well as put their defense in numerous poor positions.

Ducks lose to ASU 31-28.

Utah is rolling so they’ll move up past Oregon and PSU.

The Iron Bowl holds the most intrigue for the playoff teams next week. Mack Jones will have to ball for Bama to stay in the picture.

Best chance for UVA to reclaim the Commonwealth Cup from Va Tech in a loooooooooooong time. My Hokies have a 15 game win streak coming into this year.

Would love to see Michigan beat Ohio St for more chaos. Long shot but Minnesota getting into the playoff would be great. I still think Clemson will be on top when all is said and done.

I don't know, DP. That little protest really changed my outlook on climate change. Never considered it a problem until it interrupted my Bulldog v Crimson pigskin classic. :)

If Mack Jones leads Bama to a solid win at Auburn and the rest of the top teams go chalk then Bama deserves #4. A loss to LSU is less a blemish than those suffered by #6 Utah (USC) #7 Oklahoma (Kansas State) #9 Minnesota (Iowa) or #11 Baylor (Oklahoma).

I’m begging for 8...the sport needs it so there are fewer casualties to the bowl system’s traditions hamstringing logic and leaving important decisions to suits in a conference room instead of athletes on a playing field.

Mack Jones with no less a pair of tackles in Alex Leatherwood and Jedrick Wills blocking for him and no less a group of WRs in Jeudy, Riggs, Smith & Waddle has no excuse losing the Iron Bowl, even at Auburn.

That said, they will have their hands full with Derrick Brown - guy's awesome.
