After sliding out a little too far in my current pair of 3 months (cage 3), I’ve decided I need a shoe with good if not great traction and durability. I like nice cushioning, so which is better: gel res 7 or zoom zero for traction and how is the gel res cushioning?

Zoom Zero has softer cushioning. But there's a new Gel Res 8 coming out next month. So all of the 7s will be on a discount soon.

wilson rush pro 2.5 have great traction...so much so that toe jamming is sometimes an issue so i use double sock. 6 month warranty is also a bonus and they are quite comfortable

Do you know if the 8 will have the six month durability guarantee?

That was my experience, nice cushioning, but jammed my toes on sudden stops.
