If it were all graphite it would keep it closest to the originial feel, but i dunno if that's going to happen. Do you guys think they'll keep the triple threat tech on their new racquets?

Probably not. It isnt hasnt been included on the speedport line or the Ozone lines which have been out for over a year now.

Probably GraphitExtreme...the same stuff the SP Tour is made off. Not sure what the difference is between it and regular graphite, though.

Any predictions for other pros who we will see in 2009 playing with these new sticks?

Its a bit hilarious that a few weeks ago Davydenko was complaining about his racket. He was even seen in pictures before the Davis Cup testing what looked like a Head stick.

Now he is in the Semi's of Paris....

I don't know. Apart from younger players, such as Monfils, and their touring pros, I can't see any other established pros joining the Prince team. They may try to recruit Kei Nikishori, but Wilson will most likely want him to be their poster boy for Pacific market. Prince will, in the end, probably recruit more doubles' teams.

If anyone has more images of the Exo Graphite- these rackets have to be out there somewhere??

Prince facebook page seems to be saying that they will be revealing more information first to those who register and give a chance of being the first to get info and even win rackets

if there are any pics of the exo Graphite, please post!!

I have looked and have yet to see any other pics better than the ones I have already posted. The rackets are already on sale in Japan.

Maybe one of our Japanese posters will have a go, and report to the group.

Any more new pics floating around? I'm so stoked to try them...don't know if I'll make it to January.

I think Prince might have these in the states earlier than January. They already have Monfils playing with one, and I dont think they would want to miss out on the Holiday season.

I hope they come out before January too, but in an email I received and posted on their Facebook page, they stated that new stuff would be out in 100 days. That put the release date at January 16th, if that was what they meant. Prince typically releases frames mid-January.

Just received an email from Prince regarding Monfils signing with Prince. They said that the racquet line was still confidential, but that it would be released as part of their 2009 product catalog in early 2009.

Confidential? We know everything about them other than conposition! :)

Any details on the Monfils signing such as how much he is getting or how long his contract is with Prince.

I wonder what made them choose to go with the 16x18 pattern rather than the 14x18 pattern.

Does anyone know if Prince is going to continue making the original POG's

Good point. A POG isn't a POG without a 14X18. It would be like making a 200G with a 16X18 (might not be a bad thing though).

I've heard rumours that the previous POG is being discontinued, but havn't heard for sure.

Yeah, I know...not so confidential to us. They didn't give any details of the contract in the message. They just posted some of Monfils quotes about how happy he is with the racquet, and he wouldn't change sticks unless he really liked the Prince.

If Prince ever released a signature frame, who should/would it be for?

I ask this question in response to the hype surrounding the new Samrpas frame.

I can't think of any Prince legends a la Sampras (wilson), Agassi (head), Martina (Yonex), McEnroe and Graf (Dunlop).

Ferrero was the biggest name i can think of..blake wouldve been a good guy to have a signature frame for, if he'd stayed with prince.

Yeah, but signature frames usually and should go to people who have accomplished a great feat. Blake, as consistent as he is in being in the top 10, is found wanting. Ferrero has only just the one slam to his name. I suppose they could do a signature frame for the Bryans.

Agassi played with a Prince for a long time. Pam Shriver. Pat Rafter.

But Aggassi, still currently signed with head, won titles with Head. Pam Shriver never won a grandslam, apart from doubles, or had any rippling effect on the sport. Rafter won 2 slams, they should have made a signature racquet of his back when he was popular -- Babolat made one for Roddick (1 slam) but he is very current.

If Adidas were smart, they would have released a Lendl signature frame with their reentry into the racquet market.

Don't forget about Michael Chang! The biggest short guy around.

True...a Rafter signature would have been sick.

yes yes; how quickly one forgets about him. Ferrero also made it to the final, as did Chang.

That is actually quite a good showing. I too completely forgot about Ferrer...and Ferrero.

I am still perplexed as to how Ferrero dropped off the map so quickly. It seems like after he made the switch to head it all went down hill.

Well, he was injured for a while and took his time coming back. At that point, the game had evolved and JCF just couldn't keep up with the new guys.
