On tennis channel, i just saw Murphy jensen stringing Nadal's racket with lead tape on top of the head. But that is not the best thing about it, it had Cortex. Now this definitely proves that Nadal has switched to Cortex.
If it was shown on t.v., it could have been easily a placed product by babolat, so i'm not convinced.
Actually Nadal's stringer was right there and Murphy was just being shown how to string the racket and where exactly Nadal puts his lead tape. and the Stringer himself said that this could be the very racket that Nadal wins the finals with. and there were many close ups and it was definitely Cortex beyond the shadow of doubt.
Where could you confirm that you saw this?
Where ? on Tennis channel. maybe they might rerun this segment again.
What was the name of the show? And which episode?
it was one of those rolland garros tidbits that they do in the middle of the match. i think this one was in the middle of Gonzo-Federer match. murphy went into the stringing room with Nadal's stringer and he showed Murphy what he does.
Might be on tennischannel.com....
Might be on tennischannel.com....
Fedace strikes again with his.......ya
Looks painted on to me.
P.S.: the weight in the video probably doesn't even matter since the racquet was almost certainly not really Rafa's.
Not sure, the stringer on the video says, this could be the very racket, rafa wins the french open with.
"could" is the keyword here, meaning if he decided to switch to the cortex.
don't know about that, that grip sure looked small enough to be nadal's real racket.
Or maybe Babolat want to sell more Cortex's so they paint his racquet to look like one. Thats my guess as to what they are doing

yeah I saw this segment too and it did seem pretty believable but almost too perfect. The conveniently showed the weight on the scale, unstrung 320 and showed them putting lead on it which looked to be about 4in. and 2 strips that length. They even showed the inside of the throat and it said Rafa on it. Just seemed a little too perfect to me. Also the stringer and Murphy didn't seem to be in the stringing room but rather in a Hotel room which is possible but I'm not sure that Rafa has his done this way. I have to agree with the photo proof that it's not a cortex.
I think babolat is sending as a sample a AD with cortex leaded exactly as Nadal´s racket, just that in this case you can see the lead and it is a cortex racket. Probably this racket is the one he were stringing on the video. I think this is part of marketing estrategy to say: yes nadal racket is not stock but it is cortex. JMO.
Why would Babolat go through all this trouble to deceive us (the viewers and fans)? If this is true, then they are worse than Wilson.....
did anyone ever see the video of Rafa that popped up when you entered Babolats website?
Eric Babolat is standing with Rafa and confirms rafa's statement that he had signed with the company for a further 10 years, he then asks Rafa what he likes about his new racket,
Rafa: "i like the feel of the cortex, it's very good."
those are not his exact words but close enough.... did Rafael Nadal, probably the most sincere tennis player on earth, lie?!?!?!?!?!
"I like the feel of the cortex" YOU DONT EVEN HAVE CORTEX!!!
DECEIVED WE HAVE BEEN!
i couldnt really give a **** but still.. shows that everyone can be bought for a price, even if its something as small as being paid to lie about a bit of rubber that isnt actually on your racket
I wonder if Nadal plays with a GT racquet without the cortex.

And no he doesn't use cortex
