Prince Textreme Tour 100 (310) Thread

Yeah I meant Tour 100P, because I see everything's the same besides weight and string pattern. The control is probably very similar, Tour 100 has closed 16x18 and Tour 100P open 18x20.

Oh, yea then just string pattern. The usual open vs dense would probably apply - lower launch angle and better directional control on the dense pattern.

I bought 2 TT310 about 3 months ago to replace my PS17 (the arm wrecker) and I’m really happy that I did. Plays great in all areas and my arm hasn’t been this good in years (and that’s using full poly as opposed to the Nat gut / poly hybrid that I needed to use for a year).

I pulled the trigger and ordered a TT100P yesterday (the 18x20 version of the TT310).
I can see this being a great doubles racket...fingers crossed.

Prince seem to be doing some great things.

Yup. They just need to get their marketing (sign some good young players, get into college scenes, etc) and distribution sorted out. They’ve got the goods.

That's good to hear. I've been using the Beast 100 which I really like but it's wrecking my shoulder and wrist. I've left the TT 310 into the stringers and I'm hoping for a little more arm-friendliness while retaining some of the playability of the Beast

It plays so much more comfortable than the 66RA would suggest. I played the DR98 for years and I swear that it’s more comfortable than that great racket. It doesn’t have that hollow feeling or the vibrations that come with most rackets...reminds me more of my Angel rackets which are foam filled.

Try the O3 version if you want even more comfort. ;)
So good frame!!!!

Music to my ears, can't wait to get it on court

Had my first hit tonight with my TT 310, really very nice frame. Very solid feeling racquet, not as powerful as my Beast 100 but way more spin, control and comfort. Felt much more confident really swinging at the ball. Low enough power on slower swings but hits a very heavy ball when you let it rip.

I don't think the std beast 100 hits a overly spinning ball..a heavy ball though..
The 03 100 provides more spin...but less power..

the 310 has it all. i have two. one in 3/;8 and one in 1/2 i have connected with the 1/2 surprisingly. the grip is sublime and really comes alive in the 1/2
if anyone here has the chance to demo the 1/2 do it. trust me.. these prince grips run a little small..
anyway. this stick has taken my game up a notch. im no longer missing second serves.. my first serve is a cannon. and my semi western grip is more solid on my forehand than ever..
well done prince. i will be stocking up on this one. and hopeuflly not caring about future releases. this is a perfect frame.

@danbrenner @Roland G do you think the tt310 swings easy/ let's you make easy racquethead speed? I'm reading reviews of people who think it swings quite sluggish, while I think it was Chris of TW who said this stick should be a good option for people who are seeking easy RHS. What do you think?

It swings perfectly. Not overly light. And not overly heavy. Just right. It feels 7 pts head light. Too light and you get no control. So you don’t want that. I get massive rhs on my serves. Best ever. Just buy this. Frame. It’s perfect

I should add that although I connected with the 4 1/2. Understand. I removed the stock grip and replaced it with babolat skin feel to enhance the bevels. I recommend you all do that too. It gives you the feel of a leather grip but with re cushioning of synthetic. It’s the only way to fly.

I find it swings easily. The SW is 327 as per TW site and I'd say it feels about that. It has some beef to it but is also very manouverable

Thanks for the feedback guys. I'm using an angell k7 red but I'm looking for a bit more power and stability without losing to much feel and comfort. I also liked the fast feel of the K7 hence my question. I think the tt310 or the O-ported version could be goods options seeing all the comments and reviews!

The O port version looks really cool as wel. But with my own experience I always prefer the standard hoop over then. They get too mushy and muted for my taste

The new TT100P is awesome. I would imagine the 16x19 pattern to be just as nice with more spin and pop. Seems like the newer Textreme line is getting less attention than they deserve. I would also imagine the new TT95 to offer similar playability as the older model with more connected feel, like the new TT100P.

I have both the 16x18 and 18x20... for some reason couldn't jel with the 18x20 yet. Though initially I thought it would be the perfect setup.. I think I need the right strings in there...but yes... the feel of these rqcquets are just right.. not too muted and not harsh at all. Love them.

16x19 is the perfect pattern for me.
I love so much my new O3 Tour 100 (290)!!!

I’m playing with the 16/18. Love the racquet. Solinco hyper g in the mains, prince synthetic gut in the crosses. I had the reverse of the above in my second racquet. I though about trying a full bed of multi. Thoughts anyone. I’m 66 and a little extra power is going to hurt.

Sorry.. clarification... u want more power? Try signum pro xperience. multi comfort poly... ton of power. But control is not that great I found.. there is always xone biphase, nrg2 etc...
I just tried grapplesnake alpha and was blown away by comfort, control, feel, crispness and power combo..

Not just power which always helps. More comfort is important also. I’m retired and playing much more tennis. At times everyday.

if u dont break strings, go full bed multi or multi/nat gut mains with poly crosses hybrid. smooth round poly in crosses to facilitate snapback. if u want poly, go comfort poly like xperience (softer more powerful version of hyperG)

Can you flatten out well with this stick? I am wondering how different it is from the tt100p (2015). Is it a string eater like the pcg100 was?

Not a string eater for me. That’s why I was thinking multi. Plus more comfort. Yes u can flatten out a shot with this stick.

I'm adding an o3 Beast 100 myself. Hoping its a bit more manueverable and controlled than the solid beam.

Lots of good deals on Prince at the moment! Just wish that o3 tour was a usa option.

I am currently hitting with the Phantom Pro 100P. I love the comfort and stability of my 100P's. But it fly through strings and would love a little extra power.

Has anyone hit with both the Pro 100P and TT 100 (310) that could give me a comparison? Is the string pattern a little tighter in the TT 100?

I have hit with both. the Phantom feels like a classic stick and a little underpowered. the 310 feels more modern and has ample power. i dont recall the diff in string spacing. . probably very similar.

16x18 vs 16x19
More power with the TT100.

Does the TT100 eat through strings like the 100P?
