Rafael Nadal :- I do not have any advantage over Either of Federer or Djokovic

This is from his latest USO19 press conference.
Weird, isn't it? Why is rafa so low on confidence?
Considering the fact that he beat one of these guys in straight sets 3, 4 & 2 just 10 weeks ago & bageled the other 12 weeks ago.

Humble Spaniard once again.

I'm pretty sure he was asked whether or not he had an advantage over the other two bc Fedovic are in the same half of the draw and he said no.
It's not that he thinks he can't beat them or something.

Weak mind, no resolve. This guy will never win anything in his career.

Exactly. This type of thinking is exactly why the GenNext players have failed to make an impact. Has a lot to learn from guys like Kyrgios trash talking older champs like they are nothing.

Don't get me wrong. I like young Rafa's game but he is so mentally weak. Not gonna win anything big in his career. Sorry. I just don't see it.

Fed devotee, I wonder what's the connection between Rafa's reply at his pre-tournament press conference and the story you created?

Rafa was asked: "Do you have an advantage, where the draw came out with Roger and Djokovic?"

Rafa replied: "I don’t know. I have to win my matches to have an advantage because I only can meet them in the semi-finals. I have plenty of work before that to know if I have an advantage or not. So let’s see if I am able to do my work for my side. That's not an advantage or disadvantage. That's part of the draw. That's part of the things that happen when you are No. 1, No. 2 and No. 3."

Please frick off.. I'm not creating a story. This is what rafa himself said
Don't start offending or accusing me. Not in any sort of benevolent mood right now :mad:

Rafa always downplays his chances before every event. I would love it if he would just walk into the French Open press room the day before play and say, "I got #9 (10,11, 12) in the bag. Nobody gonna touch me cause I am King of Clay." Instead he always says he's not the favorite, the field is great, etc. He's never varied from this, it's just how he approaches tournaments.

Just Rafa's standard response to any prospective opponent whether they are world #1 or world # 301: "He is playing very good so I have to try my best and maybe I will have a chance, no?" ;)
Not sure if this is literally his standard response, but I'm sure his answer mostly is something similar to questions of this kind. Although Fed and Novak also give you a similar answer somehow I think Rafa says that with more sincerity and believes that he has to respect every opponent, and I like him for that.

I'm not saying others are not respectful, just that Rafa is just a tad more sincere about it and means it truly.

Wasn’t he speaking about the strength of the draw he got in the tournament exclusively?
Yes I don't think he was talking about his advantage over his top rivals. He was being realistic in saying that he needs to take care of the opponents in his half of the draw first because that's how the draws play out. He is going to meet these guys only in semis or finals.

He speaks very clearly these days in English. I don't see any way to misunderstand what he says.

He isnt like that. He will never ever be like that!

Well, he said it.
In a different manner.
But the way octo starts accusing baselessly is really annoying...

Even 'Daily Express' understood the question Rafa was asked and Rafa's reply to it:

You didn't understand or you are intentionally trying to mislead TTW readers.

He can only meet them in the finals. Weird that Rafa would say that.

Could you link to the time in the video when he said that? It's really tiresome skipping through to it trying to find it

he's just being modest.. Wasnt he whining at Wimbledon becuz he had to play one of them in the semis? he hasn't beaten either of them off clay in 5-6 years, it's better he only has to play one of them in the finals
