Replacement for K Blade 93?

Hi all,

Been a lurker for a while. Apologies if this topic has been brought up, but the character limit makes it hard to search for "K" or "93" :)

I've been playing with a K Blade Tour 93 for the past few years and I absolutely love it, except I feel like I'm lagging behind everyone in the spin department. It's an 18x20 which helps to explain that.

I know there's a whole bunch of new rackets out there and it can be a little overwhelming looking at them. I'm mostly looking at Wilsons and want to try something with a more open pattern to see if I like it. I think anything over 12oz is too heavy for me, but most of the ones I'm looking at (Pro Staff BLX, Pro Staff 95 S, Pro Staff 95, Six.One 95S) seem slightly lighter/have a lower swingweight than my 93 (which is 11.8oz and 323 swingweight).

Those seem like the closest to mine in terms of specs (at least for Wilsons). The others I'm thinking about are the Technifibre TFight 320 TP, Volkl Organix 10 Mid, Dunlop Biomimetic M2.0 and Yonex VCORE Tour G 310.

I'm demoing the 4 Wilsons from TW, are there any other recommendations out there for me? If they made my 93 in a 16x19, that's pretty much what I want!

Thanks.

Volkl Powerbridge 10 Mid or Organix 10 Mid (I'd actually prefer the Powerbridge).
Pro Staff Tour 90 (any iteration really).
Pro Staff 95 (customized).
Six.One 95S
Yonex VCore Tour G 310

I'd look at these racquets if I was you.

THE ULTIMATE Wilson Tour 93 16X19...

If they made my 93 in a 16x19, that's pretty much what I want!

Second that!! ...

+ if they can make it 1 or 2 mm thinner, round off the sharp edge on the shaft and may be put on a clear coating like the 98.

-- But this would make a Prestige Pro true 93 that Head refused to make the last time around, and screwed up with the feather-weight Rev Pro.

Back to the proposed replacement stick for you... the all black BLX Blade Tour 93 is pretty good too.

just so you know, the Tour 90 is closer to 92 sq. inches. What you described is pretty much the Tour 90 (except the paint job and the box beam, but I find that to be an advantage rather than a detriment).

I own and played with EVERY single versions of the Tour 90s since the Hypercarbon PS Tour 90...

-- Still prefer the Head Prestige-like head shape of the Blades.

Box beam or not, for me it's not as important as a completely FLAT outside shaft, which neither the Tour 90 or even the Blade 93 have that (they are both slightly curved :)

ohh I misunderstood what you meant with the curved shaft :)

Then the Powerbridge 10 mid sounds like a relatively good fit though. Certainly worth a try ;)

Tried that too... can't replace my Estusa Power Beams that I hit with for fun every now and then.

Still prefer a frame with:

1. Prestige Head shape with a true 93 or 94 (like the Donnay 94s) head size
2. Completely flat beam with rounded-off edges at 19 - 20mm
3. Preferrably with clear coating
4. Flex at 65-67 RA strung
5. 16 X 19 or even more open patterns

Head would have nailed it if they simply did a Prestige Pro true 93 the last time around...

For now, I'm sticking with my POG and Diablo mids

Thanks all! Appreciate the responses. Have a bunch of Wilson demos coming (I think tomorrow) so I will give some feedback after hitting with them.

I have an Organix10 93 and I think it sucks compared to a BLX90. The O10 has more power but everything else is worse.

Wanted to give you an update on this for those looking for something similar to a Blade 93.

I demoed the PS 95S, the regular PS, the Six.One S, the Volkl Organix 10 and the Technifibre TFight 320. Unsurprisingly (given the specs), the Technifibre was far and away my top choice, as I felt it could do everything the Blade 93 could do but with easier access to spin.

I'll probably demo it again just to be sure, but I absolutely loved it when I played with it last week and took only a small adjustment to my swing plane before I was beating one of my usual opponents (who's a 4.5 like me) pretty badly. I was so pleased with it I smiled after a few shots, which is saying something given the number of rackets I've smashed over the years.

Thanks for your help! Let me know if you have any TF questions.
