Graf´s era was so strong, they even had a possible murderer to chancel her main rival´s chances... An era with top players named Wozniacky,Azarenka,Kirilenko,Safina,Dementieva,Zvonareva,The Chinese,fat Schiavone or that aussie Stosur is a very bad joke.

Pay no attention to the bitter trolls in this and other threads; Serena did not win 14 singles majors and Olympic gold being a serve-only or baseline-centric player. Anyone not driven by their sick agenda of hate knows Serena succeeds because of a powerful all-court game (helped by a strong doubles game) and out thinking others--like Sharapova--who still think blasting the ball is a strategy. Great talent transcends generations, much like that of the legendary Laver.

Guys, do not get your panties in a bunch, this is just my opinion, I just think that, the way Serena is playing now days, she is invincible, forget Graf forehand and movement, forget Higins smart court tennis, I just pretty much go with Mike T on this one "Everyone has a plan 'till they get punched in the mouth".

I agree about the era argument but anyone denying Serena's strength has an agenda. We've never seen a female tennis player with such weapons (and as we I mean those who are contemporaries of past WTA eras).

I think her first 5 years may be worthy double or triple than the last few years, because the level of competition has decreased a lot.Myself I rate the second half of the 90´s the toughest era for women´s tennis and Serena was certainly one of its top champions.

Seles? Please. Though she was not a slouch player elsewhere, when she was at her height, she was a disaster at Wimbledon, as she did not have the skills to prove her worth there (and by worth, I mean more than winning one fluke title), which calls some of her portfolio into question as in the case of the other no-good-on-grass player, Justine Henin.
