Sexiest Barricades Shape in Your Opinion?

First off, let me put it out there that I am not a thorough Barricade guy. I keep switching brands and trying new shoes. Played for the longest time in HEAD Sprint Pros. Currently in rotation are HEAD Revolt 2.0, Lunar Ballistics, 2017 Barricade Boost, Prince Warrior Lite & Vapor 9.5 (yeah very mixed bag of different feeling/playing shoes). Also have a few brand new pairs in closet like Babolat Propulse Fury, Novak Pros, Asics Court FF and Solution Speed 3. Plenty in closet that I have used over years and simply stopped wearing to try new ones (Barricade Team 4, Zoom Cages and Propulse 2 among others).

Anyway, so I I just acquired a pair of brand new Barricades 8+ and have to say that I think this is the sexiest looking Barricade (aesthetic wise). Have the 2017 Boost, Novak Pros and 2015 Barricade as well like I mentioned above, to compare to. I also owned a pair of 8+ in grey when it had first come out and it was stolen (well more like I forgot courtside, came back and they were gone). Some valid issues with 8+ version that I experienced myself are toe jamming and a little bit of heel slippage. Also, they can feel clunky at times. So yeah, not issue free by any means. But hey, they look bomb!

Anyway, coming back to topic, what do you guys think are the best looking Barricades design wise? My vote goes to 8+ for the stance and cuts alone. Reminds me of a fancy sports car.

Yep, they do look super nice on feet! Check out Shanghai Limited edition colors as well. Very sexy!

The 8s hurt my feet badly just walking around the store.

Maximum sexy vote goes to vintage doomsday Marat black and silver 5, and the 2016&2017 Roland Garros, and the 2017 black and yellow.

Love the looks of the 2018s but don't think they will fit me well.

Those Barricades in the first post might really be the sexiest up to now. Unfortunately though that still doesn't mean they're sexy at all :D

If you ever need space in your closet, let me know. I'm going through way too many shoes. My movement must be crap, I don't even have the weight to put a lot of stress on them.

If yeah, not up my alley, really. Those chrome clips (or whatever they are) are a big put off for me. How was the performance on them?

Loved the Green RG line last year though (I think I was in minority).

Red black Barricades this year are sexy too, no doubt.

I'm a 9.5 with Asics. And - sad to say - apparently in between sizes for most other manufacturers. I went through quite an ordeal trying to find anything that fits without causing injury. I really tried liking the adipower Barricade 8.0, which I think I actually prefer over the 8+ when it comes to looks. Sadly though I got crazy blisters around the heel/ankle area. There's been a time trying different shoes when I went through a LOT of blistering plaster and pain.
Was super happy when I found the Asics Solution Speed 2. It was comfortable from the start, the feeling was just great. However, they just seem to melt under my feet. Plus you can't buy them anymore. The successor is great as well, but I do prefer the older version.


This is what I'm talking about...the green/black version (which looked awesome!) did that to me after less than two weeks. Those I sent back.
Also the inlays go quickly

I feel you! For sure Adipower 8.0 is pretty great looking as well. Comfort and fit are another story, lol.

I’ve never dug the aesthetics of the Barricade. I can’t wear them though. Now, I think the Ubersonics look fantastic. Purple or burgundy especially...... But, alas, I can’t wear those either:(

The ubersonics do look nice I have to say. I'd love to give them a go but have completely stopped taking chances since buying new shoes and not being able to play with them was just burning holes in my wallet...unfortunately we can't test them like raquets.

Yeah, those limited editions had a nice colorway. I would rock them but don't think my feet would love them. The 8+ are not very comfy for me regardless of how sexy it looks on my feet lol

Its interesting though. I remember they were phasing out 8+ and introducing the 2015 Barricades in Jan when a new colorway of Feather IIIs were being introduced here at TW. By fall of same year Ubersonics were launched and FIII were on clearance. I think the FIII and B8+ were in the same time frame also hence similar Kirium upper mesh.

Yes.

To be honest, the 8+ desperately needed the new upper as the one of the 8s was pretty annoying (and was gathering dirt like crazy).

I always like the Barricade 2's. I had many pairs of those and wore them for years... never liked any of the others as much

One week (and a nasty blister on side of right toe) later, I have come to terms with the fact that being sexy isn't really that important. Fit is so bad I can't even rotate these in, let alone play everyday in them. Time to ditch these Barricades. Shoes don't make you look sexy anyway. It's the attitude!

I have the 2015 Barricade Boost actually. They had the polka dots on them. Like this one as you can see:

The ones you posted definitely came after those as pattern on upper is different. Either way, love the colorway!

Yeah, I had that pink and blue colorway. I still wear them off court. They look awesome.
