silver foil inside tennis kit bags

now a days most of kit bag comes with some silver foil inside and company claims to keep your rackets and string reels inside it only .. I am curious to now that why so ?
why they are used for and are they really effective compared to kit bags without those silver material.. I always break my strings in 3 to 4 days maximum

The foil is useless for temperature and humidity control. Threads already exist about this. If you break strings thru hitting a tennis ball, foil will make absolutely no difference.

I use that side to keep my drinks cool..
Works great when using an ice pack..
It's the same material which lines my lunch cooler..
When I got my first bag, I just assumed that’s what it was for. I was blown away when I learned that supposedly the foil inside was going to keep my racquets at some sort of ideal temperature.

it is supposed to keep your racquets and strings cool, if the bag is on the sun for 2 hours. I cover my bag with a towel always, that helps more

Probably of very little value as the zippers on the bags are usually metal and would conduct heat quite well. Could even have unintended negative effects, such as helping to hold in the heat and compounding it if the bag were left in a car on a hot day, for example.

I wonder if you drop temp gauge in it and a normal side of the bag and leave in a hot car for a couple of hours. Will there really be a temp difference? No idea, just wondering if anyone tried. One side of my bag has it but I never leave my bag in the car anyway.

I did a version of this:

Ha good for you, interesting! So no heat protection but helps with initial spike of humidity. Good thing I never leave my bag in the car.
