Slower courts help Federer, not hinder him.

Well, I doubt Nadal would have done as well as he did so yes I don't you would be.

I didn't really miss anything cause there wasn't anything to miss in the first place, that specific sentence of yours was an incoherent babbling mess.

Once again I ask, was blue clay Madrid this year fast or not?

Oh my, aren't you a generous individual.

So in essence, if Fed would/does benefit from faster courts today it means he's still in his peak but if he isn't (as Fed fans claim) that means he's aided (instead of being hindered) by slower courts, quite sneaky :).
No, you need to learn how to read for a start and stop humiliating yourself..however..

im not interested in your empty void of a life..the hate drizzled sarcasm that means the only way you can detonate the horror inside your head, and scrape any twisted fun out of your dismal existance is to troll on here..

i cant be chatting with hagridden fiasco merchants, so you can go on ignore..:)

Oh my, it seems a touched a nerve there, sorry about that.

You still haven't answered my question though, did Madrid play fast this year or not? A simple yes or no will do just fine.

Federer is an offensive player not defensive, that is why his game is too good on faster surfaces and he likes faster courts so whenever he sees one his confidence is also up

As Fed gets older, YES. That's because his movement has slowed down.

If courts at my club would slow down more, the older guys would have a field day with the younger guys. Their consistency and not being bothered by as many winners would make them all the more happier.

When I get old, I'm gonna play in sand.
Good idea..have the tourney on the beach :)

You are wrong - Federer is best on grass and older USO fast hard court like Cincy and even indoor courts with a low fast bounce like previous year's WTF, Paris and Basel.

Federer is the best shot maker - he has all the shots - and a quick court with a low bounce rewards the shot maker rather than the grinder or retriever.

My view is the only disadvantage would be a real power player with a very hot hand - like Del Po, Tsonga or Berdych - could be even more of a problem on a fast court but that would be true for all the top 4 not just Fed. But, Fed usually handles the power players on a fast court because he gets lots of returns back and moves better than the opposition once the ball is in play.

Thread should have said - "LOWER bouncing courts help Federer".
Most of the faster courts also bounce lower, but IMO the court speed is less important than the height of the bounce.

Yes and uses variety when he is at his best.
